Hey Younes, love the content I'm a Chelsea fan from Ireland. I cannot wait for the game! Very disappointed I couldn't make the game tomorrow couldn't book off work! Here is a brief overview of the League of Ireland. It's a Semi-Professional league where players get paid but they may have full time or part-time jobs to supplement their earning from football. We call football soccer over here in Ireland (We are not Americans!). The reason for this is that our main sport is the GAA. This has two sports - Hurling and Gaelic Football (Which we refer to as 'Football'. Unfornately, the Irish Government puts most of its sporting funding towards the GAA due to its cultural importance to Ireland. Soccer and Rugby are below on the list of sports played. The league of Ireland is played throughout the summer to allow for more flexibility for players schedules etc. The 2024 season finished a couple of weeks ago with Shelbourne winning the league who are managed by Damien Duff (Former Chelsea legend!) Sorry for the very brief overview but this game is massive for all Shamrock Rover fans and the hype around Ireland is significant for this game. It is worth a lot of money for the club qualifying out of the group stage into the knockouts! Hope the Irish have a great time over there and do have a pint of Guinness with them as we are very sound people!

Love from Dublin, Ireland 💙. Been a big fan since I was 15 (I'm now 20). Shamrock Rovers are my local team here and made me realise we were truly in the trenches these last 2 years. The Airtricity league works similarly to the MLS where during our preseason they're half way through the season. They've been in the Europa League a couple of times in the past years and not succeeded but they are a big club in Ireland and aren't afraid to play football but expecting a slapping by us at the Bridge tomorrow. Even though I was born and bought up in London then moved to Hertfordshire, my late Mum came from Northern Ireland and my late Dad came from the Republic of Ireland. I am a Chelsea fan and have been for 57 years since the age of 3, I have both British and Irish citizenship. I not only watch my beloved club Chelsea but I also watch league football from Northern Ireland but also from the Republic of Ireland. Shamrock Rovers are the most famous and biggest football club in the Republic of Ireland. They are a very good side and they have some very good players, but with all due respect they will lose against Chelsea but I think by 2-1. I had to laugh Younes when you pronounced Larne absolutely wrong, Larne is written with a letter E at the end but it's a silent E, so Larne is pronounced LARN. I have been to Larne on holiday as I have Aunts, Uncles and cousins in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The town of Larne is in Northern Ireland and they have made history as the first football club in Northern Ireland to get through to the group stages in a European Competition. Hi Younes! Long-time fan here from Galway, Ireland. The Irish Premier Division is over for the season. It starts in February and finishes in November. It's not like in the English top-flight where this is the players' career, it is semi-professional and a lot of them work while also playing as their pay from football would be similar to someone working a 9-5 in a good job here in Ireland. As an Irish Blues fan, I hope and expect Rovers give us a game! It will definitely not be as easy as it was against Noah. I'm a Galway United fan but as Ireland is such a small country and our league is not well known, it's really exciting when any team is competing in Europe. They're unbeaten in the Conference League which is an incredible achievement, and it will be amazing if they qualify for the knockouts considering Irish teams don't go far when they get the chance to play in Europe.
