I’ll never forget the doctor telling me I wasn’t in pain. Then having emergency surgery because I was in fact in critical danger.
@krislivingston145813 күн бұрын
I don’t understand how people say doctors say they’re not in pain. How could you determine what another human is feeling.? That’s wild to me.
@Lillie_Petals._.13 күн бұрын
@@krislivingston1458some doctors are lazy and arrogant that’s why. They have a superiority complex type feeling in the sense that ‘I’m the doctor who did 6 years of med school, I clearly know more about how you’re feeling and what you’re going through right now then you do’ if that makes sense? I’m about to go into the medical field and I’ve seen it happen way too many times on placements already. Incredibly infuriating.
@yelloworange312512 күн бұрын
@@Lillie_Petals._.literally! A guy i dated was a family medicine doctor. He told me that im not autistic, he knows about autism. And when i told him that autism in women is different than men, he said that im just bipolar and that hes the only one qualified to say that. Dude… if you knew literally anything about autism youd know that in women it’s frequently misdiagnosed as bipolar disorder lmfao
@Lillie_Petals._.12 күн бұрын
@@yelloworange3125 Fr, intelligence does not correlate to empathy. Or common sense in most cases.
@auriniu12 күн бұрын
@@yelloworange3125Hes a family medicine doctor?? He might know ABOUT autism and the basic parts of it but he is no way qualified. My mom has a degree in psychology plus two masters and is a practising certified counsellor but even she can't diagnose. Some people really think they're so smart 🙄 Also if he was so smart he'd also know that autism can 1. Present like bipolar/have overlapping symptoms, 2. Vary from gender, age, severity and 3. Is different in every person. Embodiment of the saying "a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing".
