To anyone wondering, The original photo I used as a reference was made by Remi Kozdra & Kasia Baczulis and the model is named Masha Radkovskaya. I changed her facial features to give a softer more child-like appearance.

Wow! Painted that image AND changed her clothes about half a dozen times in just over ten minutes. That’s what I call a talent! As art goes painting a face is relatively easy. However getting mood into an image of a relatively expressionless face, as in this image, is a phenomenal skill. Most people can’t even do with a camera, never mind a few paint rollers, brushes and about 4 colours. Your use of Rembrandt style lighting, almost in reverse, elevates your image to a completely different level. Then your specula highlights and shadows raises it yet again. Your image serves the most important function of any art, to say something to the viewer, to perfection. It’s intense and very, very beautiful. Of course you have talent with your tools, but you also have much more, a gift for observing, understanding and relaying the nuances of humankind. I can't say how pleased I am this came up in my recommendations.

This is insane on so many different levels. I could not stop looking, and that is not usually the case with me. You've got so many different elements and styles going on here, I don't even know how to process it. There are Pop Art elements, you've got some abstract work in there, the color work- super refined world class Fine Art in there.. but it's really the way you combine it all that makes it so unique. That; and it's got an ultra HD level of fidelity to it- it feels so vivid. I rarely go on like this about a piece, but this is something really special. This is a truly stunning piece, I’ve enjoyed this quick timelapse so soo sooo much. I have a question tho, did you use acrylic for the red and blue underpainting and then oil? Or which parts did you use acrylic on?

Mich Arquette Thank you so much! Well, this one to me clearly never reached completion until the thick black lines outlining the image were complete. I never know where I’m going but there always comes a point where I know it’s okay to stop. My aim is to stop when I start putting in too much fine detail because I’m trying to move away from realism. ☺️
