Watch a time-lapse video of the installation and deinstallation (rotation) of large carpets and mounted textiles in The Met's galleries for the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and later South Asia.
The large carpets and textiles on view are changed every one to four years to minimize light exposure, prolong preservation, and highlight the many magnificent textiles in the Islamic Art collection.
