As a foundation level counselling student you have no idea how helpful resources like this are. It will be years before I can do practice hours, so my only therapeutic relationship right now is in the personal counselling I have to do for my course yet to see clips like this with the ongoing commentary and analysis gives a valuable insight into the techniques and theories behind the counselling process. Thank you.

Psychodynamic therapy will always be my favorite. Seems so much deeper than many of the so called "evidence-based treatments". And it will always be the type of therapy I seek out for myself. Wish my training program had focused more on PT.

Bottom line this session...this man has deep shame issues that skewed his masculinity. Shame is the master emotion held deeply within and all the negative behaviors protect the walls of shame because of the enormous pain within.

I wonder why she isn’t addressing his body language of his continual looking down. That should be explored. It could provide gems of data. Focus on the “here and now”
