Awesome research done, as always. Thank you for your wisdom as I continue to learn new facts from you even though I have studied Mormonism for 33 years now.

Thank you kindly. I am still always learning and I have been studying 24 years now myself. Just when I think something cannot shock me that I am aware of already, BOOM! I have an episode ready to go for Thursday that covers visions just like Joseph's BUT all prior to his supposed by several years before 1820. I didn't even cover the ones from 1821-1840, before Smith released his vision in the early 1840's. I had NO clue about any of these vision claims until a viewer mentioned Norris Stearns' account, and I just learned some more. See, ALWAYS learning lol

@@markkrispin6944 I'm not sure IF you are aware or not, some older books on the church are available on archive DOT org... I won't link it since KZbin's filter tends to flag links and remove the messages. I have read No Man Knows My History, Dan Vogel's Early Mormon Documents Vol 1 & 2, Rough Stone Rolling and a few others off of there. NOT that I don't want to support authors, BUT money is tight, and buying books not in the budget. This way I keep up on research with books / documents. :)

Thanks for the information. I now buy my books used on Mormonism at a used online bookstore. I have saved a lot of money by doing so.@@AnEx-MormonInformant

@AnEx-MormonInformant - great stuff again! Only part of the way thru this one. What are your thoughts on the Sidney Rigdon coup attempt and him being thrown from his bed? Never heard of that before. Was it he who stated that he was thrown around his room by an unseen power or was that JS or someone else?

It is more than likely Joseph Smith gave Sidney a good beating. William McLellin stated that it was Joseph, and not a spiritual attack. Apologists try and discredit McLellin because he left the church, BUT that was always a tactic of the church.

Revised post? It seems slightly longer than the set I listened too last night? Well done. The only thing I was doubtful about was using Brown's book. When I read it it struck me as being rather biased because it included things that no anti-Mormon has since mentioned, and that includes more radical stuff as Ed Decker's works- you must know of him, the guy who ranted about so many other things that he lost his followers? Some folks say what ever comes to mind. You seem to have avoided that trap.

Not revised, part 2. 1830 to 1840, WAY more content in that 10 year period than there was from 1800-1830 to cover. I will do a compilation per decade since I had a few viewers ask IF I would do some up. I have ZERO use for Ed Decker, and his God Makers video. Twisting, distorting, does more damage than good in my opinion. My mom was anti'd with Decker, and discovered how much of a past he had, and she eventually went back to the church.

@@AnEx-MormonInformant My decision to walk out the door had nothing to do with Brown or Decker. But did Mormon doctrines line up with the scriptures? I found the differences to be very extreme. Besides, I liked Joseph Fielding Smith's approach. To paraphrase: Do not despise the Christian churches, they have the Gospel of Salvation. When we speak of salvation we are teaching the doctrine of Exaltation. We would have nothing to offer without the Gospel. But he wasn't in lock step with other "Presidents."

Seer? I never heard of this lady. What was her name? Are there a few resources that mention her? What became of her?

Not much is known of her. Her name as far as I have been able to search for, it not known, just the events. David Whitmer is one of the primary sources, he does not name her. Some journal accounts of the time also mention her, but again, no name mentioned, just the events. D Michael Quinn, and Fawn Brodie cover the event, though again, they cannot provide the seeress name. What happened to her? I cannot find any information about what became of her afterwards.
