Scrap Dragon's effect would indeed still resolve. When Scrap Dragon's effect was activated he chained using Double-Edged Sword Technique. Double-Edged Sword Technique resolves first. Then the chain goes down the line and Scrap Dragon's effect resolves, destroying both cards.

well he set kageki his first turn, then normal summoned another kageki his 2nd turn and when kageki is normal summoned you can special summon a lvl 4 or lower six sam, yaichi in this case, then special summoned kizan

Yes there is only 2 timelords but that is still what the deck focuses on therefore it is a timelord deck.

Game 1 was just a matter of him having the absolute nuts. If he didn't have DEST I am sure he would have made Cata, but there was really no point when he could make Scrap first, and if he gets Veiler'd, DEST into Cata anyway.

Timelord duelist's deck is just annoying staples and Six Samurai duelist's deck is not fast enough. I've tested so many ways a Six Samurai deck can be built and it can be much faster. Yachi was a bad choice, Hand of the Six is personal tech but both have no Asceticism target unless you're running Mizuho for Hand. Which sucks.
