Time-Lost Jewels are BROKEN

I am fairly confident the adorned effect % being additive with the small effect % is a BUG. That being said these jewels are ridiculously good & should still be considering as awesome upgrades to a variety of characters. The main use cases i see -> "stat per notable jewels" when you have 2+ notables in radius(will beat normal jewels). The other use case is "effect of small passive" + additional stats that apply to small passives especially when used in areas where you will grab a lot of small passives. Edit clarifications: ^very strong in non bugged cases as well, which is why I started working on making this video when I discovered bug when setting up jewels to showcase Edit: someone tested Titan, and the 50% is Additive

2 things: Increases Radius to Medium actually works for bother Medium and Large radius. They are the same modifier, but at different tiers. Just put a 2 in the minimum to search for large. You don't have to search every prefix for a given suffix with the magic jewels. The search allows you to use asterisk as a wildcard, so you could for example us "* Time-lost * of Influence" to search for all magic jewels that have the influence suffix.

If you hold the mouse pointer over the edge of the passive node (not the node itself) it should show you the actual final buff. This is how I min maxed my Demon Form build w/ Adorned to hit 500 int which feeds my health, mana, mana regen, health regen and dmg. It's quite insane, lol. I have not yet tried this tho mainly bc the nodes I'm using wouldn't see much benefit to the build to make it worth it; not to mention this will get patched. The way I'm using it probably won't bc it's intended.

@@corp3532 No Adorned yet, but with Hulking form and a Time lost, a 10% small minion life in its radius became 21%. Moved on to another build so dont know about Timeless unfortunately. AFAIK Hulking form seems a flat bonus from the base number added to the node. So a 10% minion life with a Time lost with 2% minion life and 20%~ effect will be: 5% + 1% + effect bonus. Cant say until I get an Adorned. Sold of all the Adorned I found because low rolls

I expect they work the same way as in PoE1 but like, I don't too many people know how those worked, and maybe its different in PoE2, afaik they just do a random transformation to notables on the tree and they can potentially be stupid good. Now the corrupted magic sapphire is not working properly after the recent fix. The adorned diamond doesnt buff the percentage increase on small passive nodes anymore. Is this intended? If so now the ardorned combination with magic corrupted jewels becomes weaker than the normal rare jewels. Wish they can at least keep the percentage buff

I don't have the Jewels to test, but Titan's node 1.5s what the node displays. so i'd assume its last in the process. so your 10% block 10%es noes become 15% block 15%es.

The radius upgrade on trade site is weird. It really should say "Radius upgrades to #", it's the same mod with two different tiers. Aka if you search for "Radius upgrades to medium", and put minimum of 2, you'll get the large ones. It might be worth seeing if you can search for the time lost with the basic mods as well, aka "% increased ES" to find the ones with "small passives have % increased ES", maybe it's coded as the same mod with different display name. also possible that small/notable have increased ES are two different tiers of the mod. I remember looking at time lost jewels for myself some time ago and I think most of the searching worked, although not specifically with the same mods as you see in game.

It was like this in PoE1 where like terms merge even if the conditional isn't the same; you can see this in a more easily understood way with things like Crit Chance and Crit Chance while Full Health.

The adorned says, "#% increased effect of jewel socket passive skills containing corrupted magic jewels" and the time-lost jewels say, "#% increased effect of small passive skills in radius". One specifies the modifier on the jewel itself, and one specifies the nodes in the radius of the jewel. There's nothing there that implies these modifiers should be additive. As written, adorned should multiply the effect of the jewel passives, and the time-lost jewel should multiply the effect of in-radius passives. So it isn't an issue of the wording, it's an issue of how the jewels are interacting incorrectly.

yeah the time lost without the bug is still a DPS increase compared to a normal jewel, if you manage to find a good spot for it, monks have a great spot near the atk speed, crit nodes. The only problem is finding the stats you need without being able to search for them, since without the bug you would want a 4 line rare.

If I understand correctly, his point is that the properties are half what you'd get from a magic jewel, so 2 notables is break even and 3 is win. However that only applies comparing to magic. If you have a rare jewel with 4 good stats it's still better.

11:58 Do people not understand what snapshot means in terms of PoE? I keep hearing people throw it around lately with PoE2 and, just... “you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” Especially in regards to people throwing it around with weapon swapping and casting certain skills on only certain weapon sets, etc. Snapshot strictly means that before something was done, it considered a specific set of your character's stats (which may or may not be true after casting). In practice, snapshotting was typically used to refer to gear/gem swap tricks after something was cast to try and benefit from extra things. Ex: (It doesn't work this way in PoE1 currently) You make a 6-like Summon Spectre build. 1 of the gem supports is minion life support. You cast the spectre and it benefits from more life, and (if the minion worked with snapshotting) then that minion's inherent life/mana/resistances are set in stone. Then you swap the minion life support gem for a damage support gem to get more damage as the spectre casts its skills, but if the life stat was snapshotted on cast, then removing the minion life support gem wouldn't affect its life total, making it a pseudo 7-link (Again for the umpteenth time this isn't how it works, but is an example of PoE1 snapshotting.) An ailment dealing more damage because it was applied through a critical hit isn't snapshotting. The applied DoT was always scaled based on the amount of damage/life lost on the hit that applied that ailment. In some cases, hits that can apply bleeds would just do nothing against ES characters if the hit that would apply the bleed only affected their ES. With 0 life lost, there's no DoT to scale from. If that same hit landed on an armor based character, even if the armor mitigated 40% of the original hit, and they were left alive with 4k life from 6k, they'd likely have a near fatal bleed applied to them, especially if they're moving around to avoid boss mechanics, and doubly so because Armor only reduces physical damage applied via hits, it does nothing against physical damage over time. For what it's worth, you might want to add some way to shock to that Pathfinder build. If you're going to scale elemental ailment magnitude, then it's not only scaling your ignites, but also your shocks. And the shock ailment makes them take bonus damage from most (if not all) sources. Shock would scale the initial hit's ignite magnitude (ex: 1.2x) and the following ignite damage over time (again) as long as they remain shocked.

We have the same problem in PoE1 where people throw around "double dipping" instead of saying "two for one". Double dipping was originally used to describe scaling hit damage to derive the ailment, and then scaling that ailment again with the same set of modifiers, rather than "this modifier/aura benefits us in more than one way". Language is a big problem these days, both in PoE and out of PoE. It's the result of easily getting a platform and not having the accountability of holding a standard on said platform. But I don't really want to make drama out of this. I just try to do my part to explain things with technical accuracy myself, and hope that it carries over to other people.

If they are 100div plus, i dont see a problem with it. High investment for high rewards. The game needs more high end stuff to grind for anyways... not only more currency between a mirror and div, but other items as well. Grinding for high end div cards, or dropping fracturing shards, hinkoras locks, rare timeless jewels, etc and then being able to buy powerful gear like this is what makes poe 1 fun for me and its what poe 2 is missing. Also think tbst if you use a tablet on a tower, it should just apply that mechanic to all maps in range. So sick of only being able to run deli or breach every 2-3 maps and just having to do a filler map in between....

it definitely is a problem because it's an inconsistency in wording and POE is known for having very intentional wording. It being inconsistent is confusing and doesn't help that ingame tooltips are bugged for many things and we have no dps test dummies so we don't have any idea what is actually working or not. This doesn't seem like a problem when it's something giving you a large upside, but it's a massive problem when the reverse happens and something that should buff your build actually nerfs it or does nothing. Imagine if adorned did the polar opposite and reduced the effect of the nodes and now a normal 10% es node is giving 2% es, that's not ok and is clearly bugged. Things need to work as it is written, you can't cherry pick the things that benefit you and tell GGG to leave it alone.
