Someone walks up to Saban asks for a donation he gives $50 million dollars no strings attached. A long time ago, I was attacked in a men's room by a criminal who had been released less than 48 hours before. When he lunged at me with his knife, I managed, thank H", to grab him by the wrist and shoulder and push his head down, but he wouldn't give up, wouldn't drop the knife. We went around in a circle a couple of times until he pulled with all his might and rammed his head into the wall hard enough to snap his neck. It was him or me, and I am absolutely sure that if that had not happened, he would have gutted me like a fish. If this makes me an evil man, fine. If it happens that someone will attack me, my wife, my daughter, and I can defend them or myself at the risk of the attacker's life, I really think I would snuff the weasel out like a candle. This is why the mitzvah says lo tirchatz, not lo taharog. If someone can shecht a defenseless animal just because it is delicious, why would it be impossible for him to do the same to a person as depraved as, e.g., Yahya Sinouar?
