I'm actually planning to make great changes to my channel (with better videos and better selections of problems) to help best educate the students. Please be patient, I am also a full-time teacher. Making videos do take a little time and planning. I know it has been about 3 years since my last video, but I shall come back make more, hopefully soon. :)

If you don't have a fraction, for example at 3:38, you would [divide] instead of multiplying both sides. And you can still go through the same steps. (I'm sorry that you're having a hard time with these types of problems.)

Sir why always speed of current is subtracted from the speed of boat Instead , why speed of boat is not subtracted from the speed of stream

The reason is that the {boat speed} is ALWAYS faster than the {current speed}-or else you are in a storm. Meaning that the boat can’t move forward when it goes against the current. But with the current it will go faster. And algebra word problems in general are written with ideal conditions in mind. Moreover, Mathematically, if you subtract a smaller number (faster speed) by a larger number (slower speed), you will get a negative number (you can’t have negative speed in d=rt algebra problems...not until you get into vectors, that starts in pre-cal). Hope that helps.
