the EVAP solenoid sensor is what he's referring to that sends the excess gas back to the gas tank via a discharge tank that is part of the vacuum system of a car! There are three vacuum lines that go to it but the only one really under pressure that has clamps on it is the one that goes back to the gas tank. I recently was chasing down the vacuum lines on a 96 Cadillac DeVille that I was chasing vacuum line issues on. I took the driver's back wheel off and the fender shield so I could access the discharge tank and blow out any dirt from it because these things are so expensive, but it really didn't have much dirt to blow out of it. It did have a bad idle air flow valve (motor) though that needed to be replaced. I took it out a few times to use some Berryman carb and intake cleaner after it and the port in the throttle body. It did help but I still had a vacuum line behind the EVAP solenoid sensor that needed to find a home for the vacuum port that only had the 90 degree rubber boot on it. I just hadn't figured out where the vacuum line was that went to it. This car had overheating problems galore! I removed the clogs and replaced the bad or leaking water pump and put a fail safe thermostat in it, but the high idle was also part of the problem with a high operating temp. The error code was shooting back the idle air flow motor (valve) but there was still one vacuum line it needs to be connected that I was still chasing down, but it belonged to someone else and he came and got it. Most of the issues got fixed but wasn't sure if the slightly high idle was due to the vacuum line and the diagnostic tool interpreted the vacuum line disconnected as the idle airflow motor? not sure?

❤ this!! Thanks for the great entertaining information! I drive a 95' VW Golf so I know European cars can be similar, yet so foreign at times and it can really throw you for a loop. I really enjoyed this video, hope you make more like this. 😎🚗

Hello there, my Toyota echo give (EVAP Codes P0440, P0441, and P0446). I disconnect the battery and reconnect it and it goes away( for about good 30 -35 KM) and then it comes back. I been disconnecting it and reconnecting the battery for a while now. it's really annoying. Anyone know what may be the problem? thanks
