And the crazy thing is that, his solos aren't even that difficult to play at all. It's very straightforward and to the point and yet it's so emotional.

For me he's the definition of "tone is in the fingers". Some other players compensate their lack of this by being very technical and knowledgeable. Gilmour had it all, awesome songwriting, singing and memorable melodic soloing.

Why are we taught so effectively to underappreciate the beauty of the universe we are spawned into? The only time I have that same sense of wonder that I had as a child is in some of my dreams. It's a distant memory in waking life. But I do remember that feeling. It was a feeling that, as soon as I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted, I would take the world by storm and make it my b****. Somehow I got jaded along the way, and it didn't exactly turn out that way? I'm honestly not sure what happened. But Pink Floyd captures that zeitgeist perfectly. Especially in Breathe / Life. I cry literally sometimes listening to those songs, and it hurts. But it's a good pain.

Jonah it’s a very rare model. I saw an EW20 that looked like his sell on eBay but his is an EW50. If you want a guitar with the same inlay and design etc. they’re on reverb and eBay as well. Turns out you can’t find the EW50 series as it’s mostly the EW20 now. I’ve just bought my EW20ASENT1202 Ash top. I suggest that one specifically because it seems like that’s the only EW left. Also beware Ibanez thought it would be clever to make a bunch of 12 strings that look the exact same.
