I have just been watching some of the very first episodes and it gave me an idea I am sure all your fans would enjoy. If you could do a regular "where are they now" segment showing some of the sites that Time Team first brought to light over 25 years ago (like the Fogu follow up). It would be great to see how more sites were developed.

They've already begun doing that! In the latest news episode Dani looked back at the Piercebridge site with the same archeologist who was there with Time Team years ago! (Released 11 days ago as of writing this comment) I am sure more will follow. But I would be in favor of making that a series seperate from the news episode series.

I only recently realised Time Team was still kicking. I can't even being to measure the impact the show had on my life, it was a major postive part of my development. So many warm memories, excellent role models and so much inspiration to learn about the seemingly infinite history of our little island. £5 these days is a sausage box from the chippy (if you're lucky lol) and I think I'm happy to sacrifice that even just to say thank you for everything you've given me so far, let alone what might come along in the future. Will be subscribing in the new year for certain :)

123123 Congrats on another year! As an American, I was taught nothing of this astonishing history of my ancestors/cousins!! Are there any suggestions for books on the history of the islands...to get a more flowing understanding of this vast and deep heritage? I think I've asked before so apologies for the rerun... Any chance there might be some reproductions coming of the finds--specifically jewelry/pins/Roman goods.... May you each be blessed with safety and health and more great memories in '24!!🎉🎉

Because postage is just that expensive. It's the same if Brits want to buy anything from the US. Even a lightweight small package without insurance is $15, anything bigger and it's more like $35-40. Companies with a high volume of items to post might be able to get cheaper contracts, but international postage is simply not cheap.

Well, you can either get used to the fact that times have changed and the old format was out of step, or you can just stop watching. These days I struggle with watching the old episodes because Tony Robinson's presenting style seems too abrasive now.

I enjoy many of your programs, but would you please avoid desecrating the graves of my ancestors. Most cultures discourage, even criminalize grave-robbing.

@@Muzzeo it’s a matter of opinion. In America it is discouraged, even forbidden, particularly if the excavations are performed by non indigenous peoples. The newer Time Teams have South Asians and Africans defiling the graves.

You can be assured that ethics and respect, especially how and whether to deal with human remains, are major considerations in archaeology. Do you think careful, respectful archaeological excavation is worse (desecration) than being destroyed by ploughing? No graves are disturbed and any items/remains removed without good reason. And if you watched the Knights Hospitaller dig in Halston you'd have seen they looked in the crypt with a small camera but left the coffins alone precisely because there was no good reason to disturb them. If you watched much of Time Team then you would know that much archaeology is either rescue archaeology, often because a site is about to be built on, or research - and those sites for research usually have a time limit too, either for future development of the land, or a race against erosion or other inevitable forms of destruction. Even the direct predecessor of Time Team was in a valley about to be flooded to become a reservoir, so the archaeology was to learn and record the history of the place before it was lost forever. Archaeologists are not grave robbers and human remains are not disturbed just for fun.
