I am seriously considering doing this as a mature student... I've been obsessed with Archaeology and UK history since I was a child, and even did a BA in Anthropology, but never continued. I've regretted it ever since! I've often said that for vacation, I'd be perfectly happy in a rainy, muddy, pottery filled trench, with my trowel, than on a tropical beach somewhere.

Our grandson got a 2-1 in Archaeology from York last year, now on a Masters course, great place, great atmosphere, hope Covid19 doesn't interfere to much.

Glad to hear they enjoyed themselves! We're doing our best. Covid has meant a complete reworking of our courses, but we've taken the opportunity to redesign our classes to work in the new environment. It's allowed us to do a lot of things we couldn't before, and I actually think they're stronger for it, even if we do miss the chance to talk to our students in the courtyard. And of course we look forward to face-to-face teaching again as soon as we are safely able to do so!
