Maybe it could lock you into XYZ for the entire turn. It would still be an engine for any XYZ deck to access Redoer with a trap as material but... Is that so bad?

time thief is in weird position, give them a few good support and redoer become god tier that's why their support is kinda not optimal

It makes 0 sense that their trap doesnt activate the turn its set. Its also crazy that they have good combo lines but nibi shuts them down and forces them to do nothing instead 😢

This deck would be so much better if it had another way to search spell/traps or set up the GY. They have some good options in thendeck, but they just can't access all of them. Even the limited stuff you CAN access could be denied from you fairly easily with an Ash Blossom on any of your main 3 starters (two of which require at least one extra extender to actually continue your plays).

I always like slotting in an Xyz Triberivals in this archetype. It’s not game-winning often, but it just adds that extra layer of annoyance for the opponent
