'The sheer numbers of people coming in has placed huge pressure on public services like housing and GPs. The types of people have invariably been low wage and low skilled individuals who do not make a net contribution to taxpayers.'
- Former Immigration Minister, Robert Jenrick, says 'time has come to break up the Home Office'.

Yeah, it's been obvious to many of us living in the real world, but the people running the country, like the civil service and politicians live in a different world of leafy suburbs, detached from the consequences of their actions. Eventually those consequences will catch up with them though, even in their affluent areas, pretty villages, gated communities, or ivory towers.

No one should be coming here to rely on subsidised rents or tax credits. I've seen countless elderly or disabled newcomers taking up small subsidised council and housing association flats which should be starter homes for young British workers and the amount of new build properties going to newcomers in general is shocking. This is all wrong and is stopping British people having families or being able to take certain jobs, its sinister in fact especially given that we voted for Brexit to put a stop to all of this.

I don't think you understand how bad it is. It's not a "recent migrants" thing. On average, migrants use more in benefits and services than they pay in taxes. It's absolutely Bizzare...this country 🇬🇧 has made Legal Tax paying Migrants life so difficult due to the Stringent Immigration & Employment Laws. Where as 75K Illegally entered Migrants are living at a 4 & 5* Hotel with all inclusive package on the Cost of these Hard working Tax payers. Just doesn't make sense.

The real reason we have had these huge numbers of immigrants is because the UK joined the EU Project. Hopefully we will soon be able to reverse the trend having given it a real go and found it to be a huge mistake. I appreciate that only those over 35 will remember how things used to be, but the older generation must try and convince the younger generation that this is not a race issue, it is an ideology, societal and infrastructure necessity. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Illegal immigration is miniscule compared to the vast numbers of completely legal immigrants and their families that have been allowed in. Fund the universities properly in the first place then they wouldn’t keep bringing them in for their funding. And pay British people decent wages in the care sector

Yes its legal immigration that's the real problem and there are probably tens of millions of legal immigrants and their offspring in Britain.

The whole "who is going to look after the elderly" question is pretty easily solved, their children. Its natural normal thing that has always happened before and is done in many parts of the world with a similar standard of living to us in the UK. Frankly if we wanted the luxury of being able to dump our parents in a home with poor people to look after them then we shouldnt have allowed our population to stop growing naturally decades ago and we should have come to terms that there would be long term losses to the near zero economic growth we have as a massive welfare state. The world isnt magic, there is not some infinite pile of money we can just drain to make our problems go away. If you dont have children then frankly thats your own fualt or just bad luck, for a country to continue to exist people need to have children its as simple as that. Argument's around not having enough money for a child are made totally redundant by the fact most people who do have kids are poor to begin with anyway, the richer people get the less children they have is the near universal trend. Having children is just in pure economic terms the single most important thing 50% of the country will ever contribute to the economy, given their otherwise going to be a net-negative on the tax-welfare system their whole life otherwise. Carers will still exist they'll just have to be paid more to attract domestic workers, or people will have to send their parents to a care home aboard which out of all the options seems the most likely and far more sane than just importing the third world here instead.
