Makes sense, Treks most expensive kids MTB is basically a nice Walmart bike and I'm sure childless adults (or with grown children) spend the most. Compare the Trek Roscoe 24 (their most expensive 24" bike...) with a Norco Fluid FS 20/24 or Commencal Clash 20/24 or a Shredder Prodigy 16/20 or Shredder Phenom 24 etc and you see what I mean.

I have to disagree. First Trek I ever bought was a Rosco 24” for my kid. Walmart my ars; For the money no other bike came close. All aluminum with internal cable routing. I swapped the mech disc brakes for hydraulics. Now it’s a proper Lil’ Shredding machine!

haha, that's great. 36v or 500w won't do much on that hill though. 1000w+ if you want to tow things up hills. And it doesn't need to be from a name brand bike, just make sure the battery manufacturer has a good rep for using name brand cells and a good bms. 52v 1500w if you want to replace your car.
