Well done for staying strong through your sentimental makes...your right memories are held inside. I bet it felt good to release them so you can now make room for new makes xx

Love the video and you have made me think, not to keep it just because I’ve made it. If I’m not wearing it, pass it on.

Thank you for sharing I am going to do the same thing soon Here in Canada 🇨🇦 Northern Saskatchewan springs slowly coming and I need to go through the closet clear out some things and I have a few plans I also have memories with clothes I have had a 2 years of breast cancer treatment and now recovering and sewing saved my sanity and I really got back to more sewing and I look at certain things and think oh I need to keep that But I will be brave and keep the good memories and out they go lol Thank you for sharing It was just what I needed to hear Happy sewing Can't wait to see new makes and plans for spring Take care

This was a great video and we all need the reminder that we can't keep everything we make for ever, there would be no room for all the new wonderful me mades. Thanks!

I’m getting ready to get my summer close out from the loft so I need to space. I bet there’s some clothes in the summer wardrobe I don’t need either xx

Great to see your declutter and see some of your makes. I had the same thing happen to my Mia jeans, I can’t get them on over my hips now! My marigold hack also wasn’t a winner for me 😊💖. Hopefully we can record some more hack off videos soon. Need to think of some hack ideas! Xx

I do this periodically with my makes. My style and sewing ability changes constantly. A clear out is important to not only see the changes but also improvements one makes in sewing, as well as gaps in ones wardrobe. I normally sell my clothes on Vinted. People out there value hand sewn makes and unique garments. And it helps provide a little cash for new fabrics and patterns. Definitely recommend a clear out every so often. Love it.

I think I will do a clear out of my summer wardrobe in the autumn. Really consider if I wore it all xx

I agree with you - let them go if they’re taking up space. And I’ve discovered I love wearing dresses mostly too, even when I’m not out or working.

Before I began dressmaking I would only wear a dress for a special occasion and felt over dressed if I wore one to work. Now I LOVE them!!

Thank you for inspiring us to be more practical and not to keep things stored in the wardrobe that have sentimental value and never get worn I know I keep things 'just in case' they may be useful and then struggle to fit more clothes in as you say we need to be strong so wardrobe here I come !!

Definitely food for thought......I think you’ve prompted me to look carefully at my wardrobe. I’m probably keeping things because they are ‘me made’ rather than because I wear them

I loved this! Thank you for sharing. It’s always difficult to cull our wardrobe, especially if there are memories attached. I really am at a stage of needing to do this and be ruthless at the same time. It’s well overdue for me. 😊

This was fun to watch. I like it because it’s nice to get feedback about how much you wear what you make. I agree about the Tilly fabric. Sadly, its of very poor quality and I wished more people were honest about it as it was not cheap. Also, thanks for sharing your story about your top xx

Thanks for sharing Adelle! I need to do the same on some of my memades so it was really helpful to watch this and hear your thoughts on the garments you aren't keeping. I have the black allsorts jersey from TATB too and was also disappointed with the quality xx

Great video, I love watching your channel, it feels like having a tea and chat with a friend 😊 makes me long for sewing meet ups! (Remember them?!) It’s great to have a clear out and be a bit ruthless. I’m guilty of hanging onto things I don’t wear because I feel like I should get my money’s worth but if I don’t love it I shouldn’t be wearing it, right?

Oh how I would love to go to a sewing meet up right now and catch up!! Oh yes I agree it’s difficult to let go of makes when the fabric was expensive. But I’m going to keep the rule- have a worn it in the last year. If not it’s going.
