Hi Debbie I have an antique wicker set from my grandparents and I’m a grandmother as well. I have always used just cans of spray paint to paint my wicker. Depending on what finish you want, you can either use a gloss or matte finish. Your local hardware store should be able to guide you. Hope this was helpful. The porch looks great.

Another space well executed. It says, “come in, sit a spell.” Wire brush the chair really well, rinse with water, let dry, spray your chosen color. Happy weekend.

Hi Debbie! I do both spring and fall cleaning. We get random leaves as well as a lot of spider webs. I can wipe our mailbox and a few days later the webs are back. 😩 I think of our poor mail carrier. I don’t see any spiders out front. But, apparently they’re there. That wreath looks great on your door. I love the lighter colors. It’s a nice contrast to your door color. Although, those plaid bows would have looked nice there. They look great on those lanterns. That hose reel is very nice. That’s a better option. My husband likes to constrain cords, wires, and hoses. He likes to buy clips and nail cords on to my beautiful trim. 🙃 I just neatly tape cords or tuck them out of the way. My husband is more functional than decorative, for sure. He’s not decorative at all, actually. I move furniture a lot. Even outside. I found two distressed antique wicker rocking chairs curbside. It took me two car trips to get them. But, I got those for my sister. She likes them distressed. She may spray a clear coat on them to stop the paint from chipping. They do sell a cleaner called Wicker Magic. They claim that there’s no sanding nor hard scrubbing with their product. I love that chair as is. But, white, navy even orange would be pretty as you suggested. Years ago I spray painted my wicker hunter green. I had a lot of burgundy and soft yellow colors, then. I love that bar cart being used as a potting area. I love those wire drawers. It’s great for storage. That’s a beautiful piece of furniture. I remember admiring it from your Kentucky Derby 🐎 video. I love those pumpkins on there.That copper water can is beautiful. That’s too funny about your “plant stand”. I can see it now, but I would have never known, if you didn’t mention it. Its perfect for that spot. Those pumpkins look great in that basket. I love that you tilted it. Aw…that reminds me of that song by Doris Day, A Bushel And A Peck. My mom would just sing that to us. 💕 We have hayrides in our area, for apple picking and pumpkins late September early October. They actually have different dates for the different kinds of apples. After seeing those pumpkins, I’m over buying real ones. The squirrels love to munch on those. 🐿️ I usually buy corn stalks, mums, pumpkins and sometimes a bale of hay. But, those pumpkins are so realistic. Everything looks so pretty. ❤️

I think most men are more functional than decorative and they do not see how ugly what they do really is. He truly could not understand how horrible drilling a hole into our house was compared to filling up a watering can from the laundry room sink!

Hi Debbie! Yes. I read a meme today on social media today, that said , “All husbands choosing paint colors must have a signed note from their wives”. 😂 I’m glad it all worked out so well. for you. I love the style of that hose reel. My sister bought me a door mat that is rubber and looks like wrought iron. She bought herself one too, along with the matching outdoor stair treads. I love it. Our neighbor had a fence installed many years ago. For many years, we’ve been dealing with weeds in between the two fences since we have our vegetable garden there. You can’t really see the weeds until our garden is done for the season. All of a sudden, this year my husband suggested taking our fence down, but only on the far back side where the weeds seem to grow. 🙃 When I got upset. He suggested to cut off the bottom of our fence so that we could get to the weeds easier. 😩 I told him that I’ll get a chair or a ladder and use a garden rake to reach in between the two fences and pull those out. We usually just spray the weeds with Epsom salt, vinegar and dish soap and they die. But not so much this year. Can you imagine? I’m thankful he at least ran those suggestions by me, first. 🤪 ❤️

You did a great job pulling this together! I agree 100% about the hose! The chair would look great in almost any color but if you plan to change the colors out there throughout the year as you decorate I would say keep it white. It matches the trim around your door and pops against the house color. We do clean for fall. In Florida it gets very dirty and moldy by end of rainy season so definitely have to clean before the holidays. Looking forward to your next video.

Debbie, I have always liked white wicker furniture, but I would paint the chair black to match the door and the black hose stand 😄 then I would buy a bright colored cushion, I think that would look so pretty! Have a great weekend, can't wait for this cool weather coming!!

Hi Liz, soo busy this weekend as I hinted at in your video. Yes I have lost weight. I didn't weigh myself at the beginning of our challenge for my own mental health since it was the day after getting back from a week of frozen concoctions and delightful meals. My weight prior to getting off the diet was 152 and I finally weighed in about a week ago at 149 and this week I am 146 so I am very happy with that but I can see the rolls on my short waist in some of those outfits and I would love to see those go! I have been doing well with the diet though. How is it going for you? With all of the moving going on I know that brings on stress and I am a stress eater...my help is that I do know how to eat carnivore on the go and that is what happens when we are super busy.
