@@carlhobbs2 They never found a fix for me. You can't really reset it at home if you don't own the same Computer program the dealership uses to reset it.

I agree with legless ..dude you get in touch with BRP dawg. True it may be out of warranty but you have video proof that it's been like this from the git-go. Maybe kick the ball around that if they don't replace, how about a Hella good deal on a trade in...just a thought 🤙🤙🤙

I just passed my test and got my license. My Ryker is a 2021 with 25 miles on it. I noticed a fault code. It's B100F. So far it seems to be related to adding those Slingmod flashing brake lights. When I added those I got the code. If I unplug them the code goes away. That's all I can tell because everything else works fine. Hopefully that helps people who may get that code.

That’s a shame. I’ve been following you for a long time and I know you put a lot of time, effort and money into your Ryker. And it sucks not having a bike you can depend on and trust for road trips, or even just quick trips around town. It might be time to look at a 900 ACE upgrade. Keep us posted.

That’s what I did, I didn’t have a Ryker 1st but I rode 2 Wheel bikes for my hole life. Then I saw one of these last year. WOW was it cool and it had great looks! Got m an F-3S in November. Got to ride it 3X before the winter really churned up! Freezing temps, snow, ice, YUCK!!! 🥶🥶🥶🤮. But summer is coming fast, it’s gonna be in the 80’s Saturday. I think I’m going for a nice ride. Get a Spyder.😉

Damn that suxs cuz i drive mine like the wheels are falln off!!! With a cold air intake, exhaust, and a tune. The only time i got limp mode and other codes is when my battery was barely charging...got a new one and now its fine...hope ur rollin soon

I've managed to fix my Ryker. I have discovered that my right wheel sensor was loose, I have fixed it up and I had no issues since.

I find it incredible that this fault is still not totally fixed. Did it even go back to Can-Am at all. It really boggles the mind. One vote to upgrade here, the Banana had a great run though. Respect.

Mine went to the shop 3 times with the vss fault without a apperant reason. It did cut off at high speeds which was dangerous. Every time i had to pay 300-400 euro because they could not put it on guarantee. Reason was 'because of lighting mods' me as customer installed with just 2 white trick leds on the front 😄no electrical shortage or anything. They could not give a technical reasoning. Just that i installed the lights myselve. Like how did that had to do with the vss.. All the shop did was reset the ECU. Easy money i would say. That did take my motivation down alot with the bike. But now after that 3rd time it runs oke for about 1k miles. So i hope your bike will work again too and stays working for a good while man

I can only really speak on the Ryker I own. The issue started soon after I bought it. I had it in the shop a few times for long periods since. Now my warranty is up.. 😑. I kinda got carried along thinking it was going to get fixed while it was under warranty. I learned a lot about the motorcycle dealership world and BRP during all this, 🙃. ..and I'm not the biggest fan. This is just some info about the Ryker I own. I definitely understand there are Rykers out there with no issues, ✌️💯🐭.

This is my worry about switching to a ryker. I have a friend whos got a rally and this happens to him all the time too. Maybe the newer ones don't do this anymore, i'm not sure.

Ya but limp mode has been cause by even simple electric malfunction in the wires by the handlebars, to much power or even wires being randomly cut from the bars

Last year I test rode a F3S Spyder and a 900 Ryker both are amazing bikes, the F3S is so refine and definitely has the higher top speed, but I've just bought a 22 Ryker Sports, I prefer the looks of the Ryker's and I feel they steer better but that's me. Have you looked at the front wheel bearings, they can cause the VSS fault, Can Am put better wheel bearings in the 22 models Love your videos brother, hope you get it sorted

@@arnisbole7821 the steering feels better to me, it's more direct, you feel the road and what the front end is doing better, because it doesn't have power steering, the Ryker feels like a gocart the F3S has a nicer ride because it weighs more. Both are beautiful bikes and you can't go wrong with either one

It has a Variable Trans, why does it sound like the belt is not transitioning, what is the mileage, is it too much heat being placed on the belt shortening lifespan, or is it too much oil in the engine gunking up pressure for power

Just a thought .... Not sure if the Ryker has an Automatic transmission Oil Level sensor . If it does this could be your problem. it may throw it into limp mode to protect the transmission from damage. Hard cornering may throw it off ? Are your Transmission & Engine oil levels correct ? . Sometimes you just end up with a problem vehicle that has " A Ghost in the works" & Whatever you or any mechanic or diagnostics machine finds & sorts will not stop the problem. We had a family car in the early 2000's that would start fine , Wife would drive it to work & then it would fail to start, then it would be fine, then fail again. It went on to every diagnostics machine in a 20 mile radius & nobody ever found the fault. We just cut our losses and got rid as we had a young son at the time & I couldn't see my Wife stranded in a time of need. I think you maybe have a hard decision to make buddy 🤨

Mine is in the shop on it's 3rd VSS Fault. Apparently the Pitman arms internals are junk from the factory so BRP has a kit with better bearings and pitman internals. If this doesn't fix it I'm contacting Can Am and a lemon Law attorney. Why pay for a Ryker that you can't ride, I definitely feel you're pain on this one.

@@rykerslums8499 so far I called Can Am using the phone number they gave thrill mouse on his Instagram story. They did admit they are aware of this VSS Fault with the Pitman arm and asked if the shop could open a ticket because (according to the Can Am rep his words) they do have a permanent fix. He wouldn't disclose what the fix is but I did let the shop know what Can Am told me. Waiting on a call back. No attorney needed just yet but thought I'd give a update.

I never got a straight answer from the dealership or BRP any of the times it was sitting in the shop before my warranty was out. I one of my videos I show it was in the shop for four months, just to get it back with the same issue since I bought it. It of course gets "fixed" everytime.. 👌😅

One guy stated this happened because his brake pedal was too low or needed to be adjusted so that it wasn't riding right on the spring making the bike think he was resting his foot on the brake pedal. Every time I've spoken with my shop they try to twist my words into like it's a new problem each time and they fixed it the last couple times.. 😅. I've made it very clear each time that it's the same issue I rode it off the lot with.
