Since winning the coin toss and slapping first is such a massive advantage, why not give the person who loses the coin toss extra time to recover after the first slap in round one? Seems absurd that you have to take the first hit, and then still only have 30 seconds to recover and prepare to give your first slap..

Terrible look for our sport. I've supported Dana for 20 years. I've been buying PPV's and DVD's since UFC 40. Power Slap is dumb, and it shouldn't be affiliated with the UFC in any way.

I've watched mma since 1997 and I like slap fighting. Yea its a crazy sport but when done properly it's generally safe and very entertaining. Also these guys have tremendous technique, look up Wolverine slap on KZbin and you'll see the skill and technique involved. Btw taking a few hard slaps is not as worse as 50-100+ strikes to the head in a mma fight.
