Hi Guys when I travelled to Italy in my RV I stop at service stations on motorways cause some of the Aires are really bad.The tip you gave about tolls is great I’ve used it loads only once was told no I’m class 4 I argued in the end they put it back to class 2. Safe travels 😊

Hi Peter Yes we have also used some service stations and they have been good too, obviously the only real downside we have noticed is the chiller lorry’s really. 👍

Good job freeing off the siezed brakes.. totally agree with using two sat nav... we use a falcon set in the bus but we both have eurowag..... on our phones... it is a free app... and you can input your length width weight etc.... so it avoids small roads... ( mostly) had to laugh with the walkie talkies... we use them for doing the lught checks etc... as well as talking to our friends. When in convoy.... also we have a euro / UK cb. So we can chat on that.... have a good trip... looking forward to following your adventures

Hi guys Thank you for watching and for your comments, yes satnavs can be a bit tetchy at times. Hope you’re both keeping well. 😊

@thebebbsbeat Both good.... enjoy your trip.. stay safe... keep trying the classe de. (Class 2) it will be interesting to see how many chsnge it. And how many don't... keep a count and let everyone know I am sure we are all interested...... if you manage it with a 12 tonner we should with a 7.

@nutsontour you should have absolutely no problem, we were fine with the fifth wheel, no problems and no arguments at all, so far just the one toll in France said no way.

Safe trip guys. I was under the impression A frame towing was no longer allowed in Spain and France ? I stand to be corrected.
@thebebbsbeat3 күн бұрын
Hi Bundeo Fully electronic braked A-Frames are allowed, there are however some Spanish police officers that do not fully understand the law (as in a lot of countries). So there are some that will want to inspect the set up to make sure it complies and is safe then let you be on your way, and there are some that do not know the law but once you have explained that it is in fact a converted trailer are happy to let you carry on, then there are some that are totally ignorant and think because they wear the uniform they are right (in this case you don't push it, pay the fine and be on your way). Hope this helps

@ thanks for clarifying that mine will be going back on the back this year. Have a great trip👍
@thebebbsbeat2 күн бұрын
@bundeo2 no worries, at the end of the day if you have another person with you that can drive it makes a difference, in our case Di drives so if police tell us to unhitch we can, then next available services pull over and reattach the car.

I thought they weren’t allowed so interested

We were wondering the same. We have heard of people being fined ????? So will be watching to see what happens....

What border crossing do you use from France into Spain? I was expecting you to carry on down to Irun? Great video by the way.

Hi Gazza We tend to drive all the way down to south of France towards Carcassonne then Perpignan and then head for Barcelona on the AP-7 and follow the coast road. 👍😊 Thank you very much, really appreciate the feedback.

Guys what editing do you use thanks jase
@thebebbsbeat3 күн бұрын
Hi Jase I use Davinci Resolve to edit, it is free and very powerful, there isn't much functionality missing compared to paid version.

We use a dedicated motorhome sat-nav that knows our size, weight etc. but also have Google maps running on CarPlay as a backup …. But we nearly always trust the motorhome sat-nav as Google maps has tried to take us down some ridiculously narrow roads in the past! 😬
@thebebbsbeat3 күн бұрын
Hi BillyBob Yes exactly this, we too rely on the dedicated satnav and only really use google for the last couple of miles to make sure of exact locations etc, easier to zoom in and out on the phone using google. Safe and happy travels to you.
@BillyBob-rm3ve2 күн бұрын
@ yes, Google satellite view is great for the last mile or so for spotting the entrance to a site. The motorhome sat-nav works on postcodes and they can cover a wide area!
@thebebbsbeat2 күн бұрын
Yeah our sat nav also works on coordinates too so if I can I try to find and use them as it’s more accurate, about time sat nav’s started using what3words as well. 😊

Good video👍 Is it ok to use an A frame in the EU?
@thebebbsbeat3 күн бұрын
Hi Terry There are differing views, this is because there are different types of A-Frame, we use the fully electronic braked system. France they don't care at all and Spain is slightly different. Fully electronic braked A-Frames are allowed, there are however some Spanish police officers that do not fully understand the law (as in a lot of countries).

@@thebebbsbeat Thanks for the interesting reply. I had considered using an A-Frame 8/9 year's ago. I may now reconsider this in light of the latest A-Frame technology. Happy Travels👍
@thebebbsbeat2 күн бұрын
@terry9108 you’re more than welcome, we went with Armatige as they seem to be the best and most knowledgeable. It really is down to how confident you are dealing with the authorities as well in strong but not argumentative way. 👍 We wanted the A frame as a trailer for us was a step too far, could imagine us turning up at site, 38’ coach, trailer and car…. Where would we put it all? 😂😂

Hi have a look at waze sat nav very good for real time cheers have a great time jase
@thebebbsbeat3 күн бұрын
Hi Jase Yes I do have waze, it's very good for real time traffic as it's updated by the user network, we only really use google maps for being able to zoom into the map to make sure our navs match up etc.
