Regarding the shortage of products at the import companies the workaround is to better plan your warehouse stocks. Ideally you would have at least 1 if not 2 weeks worth of each product in your warehouses. I have an excel sheet where I write the weekly sales for each business, I use formulas to sum the amount of each product consumed per week for all my stores then multiply it by 2 and that's the goal I set for my buyers. Every Monday I update the amounts. I also do something similar to set up the daily deliveries to my stores, I try and have a week of products in every store storage. Some are too small and I have to do less but ideally I have enough in my storages and warehouses so that each store can run for 3 weeks without running out. Tough to be fair if there is a shortage then my stock will go down much quicker because I'll probably be one of the few store that still has availability in the city.

Great idea, I never honestly had issues until then with shortages. I believe they did some tweaking prior to me making this series because in the past shortages only came up every once in awhile and only lasted a few days. This was much more extreme and lasted a LOT longer too :/

@@Delod Strange I played before the 2 previous updates and I remember shortages being maybe not as frequent you're right on that point but they lasted usually a week and sometimes 2 or 3. That's why I started with my 2 week warehouse 1 week shop storage, I could withstand 2 weeks shortages for sure, maybe 3 if sales didn't go up too much because I was the only one still having stock. It could also be a way to hurt competition, if you have stock when they don't. it could be fun to play with this mechanic now that rivals re a thing. Only issues with this tactic are : -shops like supermarkets, high volume of items sold per day (thousands) and low quantity of items per box (50). It makes it almost impossible to have enough room for 3 weeks. -Shops that sell very expensive items, it costs a lot of money to buy enough to stock for 3 weeks , sure you can do it over a period of time and after that it's just topping it of but it's still a lot of money that's just sleeping in a warehouse instead of being invested or used to make more shops.

I have just started taking over struggling office businesses. Lawyers, Graphics, Web Development. Most of the time they are over staffed and are losing money. Easy turn around ti profit and passive income once set up, no need to buy and supply stock :) Some I have picked up for less than $50,000!

Interesting! I haven't given those much thought mostly because office businesses have classically been subpar vs. retail. I'll have to take a gander again!

When you reach a certain point in the game and get like a million a day, all there is to do is just sleep.. sleep.. and sleep, they need to implement a way to risk/use/play/whatever with the big money you got ASAP or it's just a endless way of sleeping and skipping to the next day.

Yeah I really hope they can come up with a mid game of sorts. There's got to be more to do when it gets to the point where I'm at for instance. Essentially speaking I'm at the sleep/buy/repeat loop unfortunately. Gotta make something of it though! :)

I think there’s another step here that would take this game next level. Once you get into the top 5 you should be able to partner up with some of the lower rivals (who aren’t direct rivals), make cost of entry half of their net value, then you own everything they have 50/50 plus you should be able to allocate them businesses to open, or when you open allocate to them. They control staffing, stock, ect and you earn 50% of the income. Also buy a car with auto parking. Life gets easier haha.

That's an interesting and really cool idea. I would love to have sort of subsidiaries I think that would be right? Very cool idea. Would open up a really fun avenue of approach but they can't be OP nor can they exceed more than a certain amount of your net worth imo. Kind of makes me think of it in a sense like they're Vassal's in EU4 etc. lol As for getting an autoparking car...I like the Vord because its speed and cargo capacity :P I do love me some auto parking though, I make enough to where that can be like a daily driver lol

I don't think I would want them to control staff and inventory else the give the AI a massive intelligence update. Great idea though!

@@mr.mcginnis8928 nah think about like the rivals actually businesses. Whilst they have horrible staffing when you take them over they actually make decent money without looking into it. I think it would be like that. Otherwise you’re just doing the same repetitive thing of buying out, staring up, stocking, staffing and then forgetting. I’m saying, cash injection and hand over. Helps the end up game speed up between getting into 1st place and full take over of property purchases ect.

A lot of the buildings she currently has businesses in are in the high 10s of millions to hundreds unfortunately.

@Delod the building prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.... but at least you would own something for your investment....instead of paying double the price for a business.

Well at least in my situation probably a little longer than normal, but when I snag up Murray Hill I think it'll be much easier at that point. We'll see though!
