Atkins knows if he trade Vladdy it will be the end of his time in Toronto. He's had more than 2 years to sign him to an extension. He's been disrespected by Schapiro and Atkins and now sees how they cannot build a winner. No player of value will sign with those 2 clowns. I had to pause the video before you got into the Jared Jones scenario. He did a lot last season to not endear himself to the Pirates front office, specifically, complaining to the SS and the media about defensive placement. As to trading Chandler, that is not going to happen, that kid is much closer to Paul Skenes level than he is Jared Jones. Would I want to trade Jones, no. If I can turn Jared Jones into Tristan Casas, Keston Hjerstad or Coby Mayo I definitely would have to consider it.

Here's why the Mets should be open to trading for Vladdy. #1) Don't give another team the chance to make Vlad really happy and re-think playing with Juan. #2) Why waste a year of Juan when you can have the Dynamic Duo starting next year? #3) You can trade the fairly expendable pieces for him. They could send Ryan Clifford, Luisangel Acuna, and Jonah Tong, 22.20 combined value from BTV, and you go. The PR is already shot. Better to build and get ready for the future.

Guerrero is a showman not a focused winner. He led the league hitting into double plays during 2023 and was a dog the first couple of months in the 2024 season. He is not clutch in the big moments. Fans were saying he's not elite and trading him was the talk. He probably would do better on another team because he is just too comfortable in Toronto, clowning around and just "wanting to have fun" his motto.

Jays absolutely need to trade Vlad. Bo and Vlad are the only bargaining chips the Jays have beyond 2025. They have no farm system. They have nobody else tradeable to get anything in return. If Vlad and Bo walk for no return the Jays are screwed. Its very unlikely the Jays are going to get any loyalty buddy deals from these guys when they hit FA. They are going to want max contracts and the Jays wont pony up. They are gone.

While Dylan Cease looks like a top of the rotation starter. He does possess the ability to make it happen as a top of the rotation starter. But now, entering the 2025 season and as a Dodgers fan, the only thing that I think about regarding him now is that he was completely demolished during his 2 starts in the 2024 NLDS against the Dodgers. It was definitely not what a "top tier" starter is paid to do!
