What worked in the campaign was hope and joy and the honesty of our candidate and her empathy for the people and their concerns. Although there were only a few, more people voted against Trump than for him. One of the big problems is the American public doesn't have a high level of sophistication to get our message . Over 50% of American adults read under the 6th grade level. We are talking over their heads. Trump feeds them simpler messages and appeals to their baser instincts. Maybe Dems should zero in on improving education so more voters can't be hoodwinked and misled by disinformation.
