I agree that we have to acknowledge that Mary was chosen to give birth to our Lord. But I don't think we have to revere anyone including the apostles. Mary was not called to be an apostle, she was called to be the mother of Jesus. The only heed that we give her, is that we acknowledge that she was a goodly woman who was chosen to bare Jesus. Indeed, she is blessed among women, and we can learn a lot of lessons from her life. But that doesn't mean we have to actively pay heed or revere her. We acknowledge her and we move on. We only have to revere Jesus Christ. Only Jesus is our Reverend. With all due respect, I don't appreciate the fact that you defended the catholic church. Two main reasons: They are not saved people as they trust in their works to go to heaven. (God never knew them. Matt 7) Any doctrine that originates from Catholicism should be rejected as they don't have the Holy Ghost. All Catholic doctrines are automatically satanic due to this reason. Secondly, Catholics don't merely revere Mary, they actually worship her. They bow down and pray to her as if she can listen. And they consider Mary as a mediatrix. 1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Btw, the woman who praised Mary was rebuked by Jesus immediately. Luke 11 27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea RATHER, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
