Total lost classic!!!! This tune's got it all. Punk, rap, electronica, post-punk, rock, etc. A perfect example of what can happen when three diverse musicians/producers get together and collaborate. In many ways this tune and the formula of its creation was WAY ahead of its time.

It's still the same ultra-rich oligarchs running things. They own the government, basically. That's one fault in a capitalistic society: eventually the super-wealthy get SO much wealth that they have more power than the government does. As David Hume wrote years ago, and Chomsky and Hitchens have spoke about, power in itself is illegitimate. If there is to be a power structure over people, it has to be there for solid, rational, benevolent reasons. It has to serve the interests of the common person. Is that what's happening? No. It's not what's happening at all. Right now only a few ultra rich are getting ahead in life, while we all suffer. So the power is illegitimate by default. We also have to remember that anyone who has anything more than others actually OWE what they have thanks to others: their hard work, their services, their inventions -- all this stuff and more that the rich elite take advantage of for their own greed. You can't get something from nothing. Thus, you can't get wealthy in a vacuum. You need others to basically take advantage of. Greed is akin to nihilism, as it only serves to divide us, and make us worship nothing but a theoretical number on a bank's computer. Ridiculous. Things will eventually change, however. Just hope it's positive change, and not destructive. But it can't go on like this forever.

The first time I heard this song I immediately ran out and bought the EP. It was a great jam and who wasn't about Johnny Rotten in 1983? I knew the words but hey it was 1983. I was 17, Reagan was in office and my dad worked in guidance and control at Litton. Nothing bad could ever happen..... cut to 2014 and look how these words sung are so prevalent to everything going on at this exact minute in time. We should ALWAYS try to hear the words of independent thinkers that are able to get the word out en mass. Stop thinking that nothing bad ever happens in America, because if we aren't careful EVERYTHING will happen and bye bye civilization.

This is so true. We thought that things were bad and the running joke was if Reagan who roll over and push "the button". But look at our world now. We don't need pilots to bomb countries... an unmanned drone does it. Did anyone truly envision the world that we live in now?
