I like the humor in the timecop movies & series because it makes the characters seem more real & we the audience want to hang out with them & through watching & listening we can more or less , ( the 2 movies had really funny lines/jokes/quotes as well as the series), watch each movie and series episode & count how many times you laugh, even ep's like this with a serious story , ( jack kicks a door off it's frame & says " open up " ) , ted 'tw' king is fun to watch as jack logan because we all knew someone like him at some point in our lives.

The problem the show had was the Producers and Writers wanted the show to be a bit more darker and deeper. But since ABC put it in an 8pm timeslot, they were limited to what they could put in the show, because ABC didn't want to expose children to unwanted violence. They never do catch Pasco.

Looking for a Placebo try the classical TIME TUNNEL series from the Sixties, the regrettable failed remake from 2002 TIME TUNNEL THE PILOT or TIMELESS, all on DVD and sofar on KZbin not to forget 7 DAYS allso an interesting time travel roller coster.

You can´t generallise, remember THE A TEAM, MACGIVER or STAR TREK (TOS) for example. What really changed race related was the handling from TV series playing on HAWAII up untill HAWAII 5-0 I had never seen many Asians having roles in thoses shows as MAGNUM P.I; or One West Waikiki where Haether Looklear and Richard Burgi solved crime cases on the Island as a coroner and a detective.
