1985...7 years old...watching Star Trek TOS, Miami Vice, and Star Search on a very small portable black and white tv in the living room. Then picking up same tv and going to my bedroom, lying on the top bunk of my bed and watching the Miss America pageant. We were poor but that didn't stop me from having fun. I would play with a bunch of red and yellow cowboys and Indians and other action figures that I would carry around in a white bucket. Sometimes I would play with my neighbors' transformers. Also, just learning to ride my purple bike with pink streamers and playing on the monkey bars on the neighborhood playground. A couple of years later I saw a Michael Jackson video for the first time. Trust me, you young peeps have no idea how big MJ was in the 80s. You had to be there. I truly believe there has not been anyone as famous in the music industry as MJ since perhaps Elvis. The man was HUGE.

Coming back to this - MJ was a global megastar. Forget Miley or Taylor Swift - everyone either knew, loved MJ, or both.

hey dude, I was wondering what software if any you get your some of your synth sounds from? I used to use my dad's old analogue synth but its ancient. It's cool if you don't want to disclose, I understand. Cheers

Nostalgia in one song.

Wow, this hit me really hard. I love the slow emotional feel of this track. It's a song you would play when your being nostalgic for sure. Those two simple photos say it all. Hanging out at the mall with your friends and playing Golden Axe in what appears to be a cheap department store or grocery store in suburban America. Yeah, this country is messed up for a lot of reasons, but I wouldn't have wanted to grow up in any other place. I know I'm really bias, but Gen-X was the best generation. We are like that long lost forgotten middle child no one cares about. It seems all the attention is on the boomers and the current young millennial and Gen-Z kids. Anyways, this is what we did. No internet, no phones, just kept it simple.
