Anyway; Admittedly it's hard not to when the responsibility of our life *is* in our hands to some extent, and I don't think we should deny that reality..we should own up to our wrong decisions in repentance and aim for change. But understandably, we shouldn't be killing ourselves over it, I get it. Especially if we have any sort of mental setback..and I feel that all too well..it's a balance ultimately. But you're definitely right with the help part. It takes a lot of humility and letting go of our 'monsters' and ourselves most times. Which is certainly hard for a lot of us in itself. Regardless, God bless you! I appreciate your heartfelt intentions. :) I pray we may all get through this and find what we may need in the end. For me, that was my faith in Christ. Still working on it though.

Damn this song is so underrated. 🥺 the feels pierces through my heart. This takes me back to the past, where I love my ex that it made me selfless. I helped him fix his self while I was left destroyed. And now, all I can say is I'm glad he's happy and leading on his life after recovering from all the pain and rejections he gets from his family and achieving his goals and dreams without me by his side. And I'm also glad that even if we can't be together, I learned my lesson that you should also love yourself more if you're going to love another person a lot.

I love the message of the song because its not bullshit its a song sharing HIS FAULTS!!! There are very few songs that do this because the general population likes the songs about drugs, money, sex, and love (breakup or makeup). I just came across Monsters again on my "discover weekly" playlist on Spotify. This song was the song I had on repeat during quite a hard time of depression and the beginning of a downward spiral. This was what I hoped my partner to be but she wasn't because I wasn't telling her. Call it immaturity, naivety, lack of knowledge, what have you. Thankfully, eventually, she did see right through what was happening and got me to therapy. It has been 4 years since I listened to this song. Before all the feelings I got were from loneliness, hopelessness, and "nobody cares about me"... Today I has filled me right up with hope and pride for what I've been through, learning, with an open mind, and becoming what I should've been 4 years ago =D... Still very teary tho!!! But this time they are VERY good tears =)
