I remodeled an entire bathroom in my house just by watching YT videos. I already had an electrical background (although it was low voltage, EET major) but taught myself how to wire my entire bathroom; GCFI, potlights, vanity light, timer switch to a blower fan. Taught myself structural repair because I had rotted out floor joists. Taught myself plumbing; repositioned the shower, toilet and the sink. Taught myself how to mud drywall. Taught myself how to do tile. Taught myself how to do wainscotting. Yes I messed up A LOT, yes it took me 4 months for a 75 sq ft bathroom, but it still came out close to $15k cheaper than I was quoted (that was w/o them knowing about the structural damage.) aannnnddd i have the satisfaction of knowing I did it myself. I'm now watching garage building videos because that's my next project. We literally have the entirety of human knowledge at the tips of our fingers and carry it around in our pocket.

Good video. I live in the Chicago area and I had a garage built in 1976 and it had a couple of features that I liked that I don’t see you incorporating in your garages. They are…..raising the concrete around the perimeter so when you park in the garage in the winter, the bottom plate doesn’t get wet, the other is using a 2x6 as a top plate for the rafters. This garage was built with 16” centers for walls and 24” centers for rafters 2x6 & 2x8 in corners, hip roof. The garage is 47 years old and in great condition. Thanks…Jim

A lot has changed in construction practices over the last 50 years. My grandparents' home had true 2"x4"s in it. They also dug out the basement using a mule! Everything was hand sawn and hand nailed as well!

I would love something like this in my backyard. Just renovated my 12x12 shed last summer with my brother, and this is litterally 4x the size of mine. I wish i had taken out the rotten floor completely and built a cement pad instead to put it on but i was out oftime. Also, i was amazed at how you just pivoted those roof trusses 180 on themselves in order to put em up, genius. So simple... but i would never have thought of it hehe

Enjoyed the video. Question: When you say $28,000, what do you mean? Is that a turnkey price that you are doing this job for? Or is that just materials? And I noticed that all the walls were already nailed together, either by you off camera or is that a kit? Where I am, I seriously doubt that I could buy the materials for $28k. Appreciate the info. If you answer, maybe consider adding this info to the description. Nice work, brother.
