I got a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback for my 19th birthday. I had it for 12 years, slowly modifying it. It looks better with air shocks on the back with bigger tires. Mine had a 289 HP and was an automatic, with air conditioning. I also painted it dark green with metallic flakes in it, two coats of lacquer. The engine was painted blue, fire wall black, cables were yellow, and most everything under the hood was chrome. I used to show it. It ran perfectly. However, it only got 8 miles to the gallon and the back seat could not accommodate a car seat for an infant. I sold it to buy a mini-van, lol. It’s ok..after 12 years, I was sick of it. I was always afraid it would get stolen. They are easy to break into, thanks to the corner windows, and could be hotwired in seconds. Because of that, I had stopped driving it and it stayed hidden under a car cover for its last few years. Do I miss it? Nah.

I understand. It's about perspective. It was my dream. And that's why I fulfilled it. Today it is more like saving money for the future. At least in this day and age, when money melts away like bubbles in a bath.

I now have a nice pick-up truck, fully loaded and the 4x4 off-road sport model. Added extras, like a grill and winch, the biggest meaty-man tires it could accommodate. I still enjoy washing and polishing on Sundays, it will always be my best memories of my mustang. That and cruising along whilst watching heads turn. 😃

There's a old lady where I live and she drives her mustang fastback weekly and she's been the only owner and it's all matching numbers and it only has about 40,000 original miles and I believe it's only been rained on maybe a few dozen time's it's probably the cleanest fastback that I've ever seen.

Zdravím Vás. Děkuji, mustang byl všeobecně, sen mnoha lidí. Po česku je jízda vskutku zajímavá, zvuk a vzhled auta budí pozornost :)) Takže kvalitu silnic nevnímáte. :))))))) Ano, je to auto které nad 100 plave, ale pravdou je taky i to že víc než 80 nejedu, protože se spíše kochám a užívám si to :)))

The time horizon is relative, it is important to have a clavite paint shop, and of course, after painting, paint needs its time. So the whole process took about 2 years. The money for the renovation is around 20,000 dollars.

Dobry den. Mám v plánu jet pro Ford mustang coupe 1975. Chtěl bych se zeptat, jestli víte jak je to s přihlášením takového auta v ČR. Auto je odvezeno z Ameriky a momentálně stojí v Německu na amerických značkách. Zajima mě, jaká je samce dostat to na bílé značky. A když ano, tak jak mám postupovat. A další můj dotaz je, kde jste brali dily na toto auto?

Zdravím Vás. V ČR to legislativně nejde, dá se přihlásit nejvíce 7let staré auto, myslím. Ale to se dá ověřit. Přihlásit jde pouze na veteránské značky. Pokud chcete bílé, musíte nejdříve to auto přihlásit v Německu, Polsku nebo na Slovensku a pak jako dovoz do ČR.

Náhradní díly je ideální nakoupit přímo v USA a dovézt s autem. Druhá varianta je na netu objednat, davnejsie som objednával ze stránek mustangunlimited.com nebo jiných podobných stránkách. Jde to objednat i v ČR ale to už platíte, kromě ceny materiálu i cenu za účetní a pronájem a několik zaměstnanců 😅.
