I’m sure there is some great explanation for smokeless tugboats. Even when they are pushing giant ships into strong currents, which this smokeless tug is not doing here. A thing that began 15 years ago.

Why is the ship moored with the stern towards the harbor exit? In case of an emergency this way it takes more time to leave port?

@@geraldtodd6633 pretty incredible really that the USN still today does not operate a single Frigate, arguably the most cost-effective presence and capable class surface combatant.

@@donkoh5738 Cost effective possibly. Capable not likely. The 2 main Frigate classes were the Perry and the Knox. Both single screw slow boats and not well armed. The new Frigate to be built in Wisconsin (?) should be better with VLS and hopefully not a 57mm main gun like the LCS's, at least a 76mm or maybe a 5in. I am an old navy sailor. In my mind these ships have to be able to go into a fight and PUT UP A FIGHT.

@@geraldtodd6633 what I was proposing more or less for the discussion, was that the former limited armed USN albeit still quite capable in ASW role Frigates should have indeed been replaced in the interim period with other existing superior designs, until even more suitable follow-on next-gen Frigate designs could have been acquired in a more prudent, strategic, seamless fashion. Without the massive capability and presence-capacity gap still existing today! It's just not how more prudent and strategic-minded ScNav acquisition processes would have happened in past generations.
