Woah, that’s unbelievable. I’m going to suggest things.. not an expert though. I think you would get the best benefit if you got a basic cleanser (holifrog milky wash) Cut out toner. Apply timeless vitamin c on semi air dried cleansed skin. Apply two squirts on your left middle and index fingers then transfer some of the serum on to your right middle and index fingers by tapping your fingers together. Once that’s done, press it into your skin. Then tap it all over. Let it sink in. If you have dry skin, apply a pure hyaluronic acid serum (the ordinary or stratia) Then apply a skin barrier repair moisturizer (stratia liquid gold). Let it sink in a bit. Then apply sunscreen (purito unscented). Also if you’re acne prone, I suggest buying paulas choice 2% bha liquid; it saved my life in highschool. Ps: night time routine should contain vitamin A. Lots and lots of vitamin A. Paula’s choice 1% retinol at night 2x a week would get you RIGHT! I could almost promise it.

I am not a fan of the new packaging of the Vit C but I get why they did it I always decant my products into smaller glass and some plastic pump bottles to save space and it also helps keep the product fresher since Im not opening and closing the bottles all the time. I started ordering the C in the 4 oz bottle which is still the same eye dropper style, Im not a fan of those either but again I decant everything and keep full size in fridge so no biggie. Maybe performance should count for 2 points? 🙈😁 I'm almost done my first Timeless Vitamin C serum and I agree 100% with everything you said about it. I appreciate the pump packaging so much, but it leaks if you tilt or drop it, lol! It hasn't oxidized at all, which is more than I can say for way more expensive ones by Tarte and Drunk Elephant. I love how fast it absorbs and how well it layers with my other skincare and spf. It's really helped with skin texture, hydration and brightness, but as you said, not so kuch with hyperpigmentation. I ordered a promising anti-redness serum, so if that works, I may continue to purchase Timeless. As you know, Dr. Brenner doesn't ship to Canada. I really do prefer their for of Vitamin C, or L Absorbic Acid. I'm going to try mixing the CosMedix Pure C Mixing Crystals (from FAB Fit Fun) with the Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop I got on super sale from Yesstyle. The Klairs is only 5%, so I'm hoping adding a shake of powder will boost it.

I've been so curious about these products!!! Awesome. I have heard that the ferulic acid is strong and has exfoliation properties that contribute to the chemical exfoliant nature that ascorbic acid already has. That may be why even seasoned ascorbic acid users might want to start out slowly with either of these products. What do you think?
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I agree, both of these are rather strong vitamin c products, and ferulic acid also boosts their strength and effectiveness. Starting out slowly is key, even for those who are seasonsed vitamin c users, because these are both amazing and strong!
@joannej_Youtube4 жыл бұрын
I have sensitive, eczema prone skin, and can tolerate just about anything since I started using barrier strengthening and soothing toners, essences and lotions, something you may want to look into? I started my Vitamin C journey with a cheapie from Amazon that did NOTHING, then jumped to the powerful Drunk Elephant one, lol. It burned, so I did have to slowly increase usage. I then switched to Tarte's Youth or Dare C which also has Glycolic Acid! I was using Glycolic Acid in the same routine as vitamin C because it increases efficacy, so I tolerated it well and loved it even more than the Drunk Elephant. However, both started to oxidize fast or even arrive oxidized, so I switched to Timeless. I find it pretty mild compared to the other two, but for people just starting, Korean Brand Dear Klairs makes one that's 5% and has some skin soothing ingredients. I'm about to start that and add some L Absorbic Acid power to boost the percentage.

Would you say one vitamin C serum is easier to use up all the way than the other because of the difference in packaging?

I have the Timeless one, which is my first foray into Vitamin C as an active. I don't like it. It's runny and hard to apply, in my opinion. But more importantly, it makes my face sting a little when I apply it. Is this normal? The product technically doesn't contain anything I'm allergic to, but my skin can be reactive to things that aren't confirmed allergens. You said to ease into Vitamin C. I went from none to using it every day, so maybe that was an issue?
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I do think it might have been a little too strong to start right out with, and using it every day. The Timeless is a bit strong, especially for beginners. I might suggest going down to using it every other day for a few weeks and I think the sensitivity will lessen the longer you use it.

Mine has the liquid-y yet slightly gelish texture as well. It did take my skin a bit of time to acclimate to it. The first week or so my skin did sting a bit after applying it. I haven't tried it but it does contain alcohol so I am hoping it will feel nice on the skin, I can't believe I'm willing to try products with alcohol, I really don't care anymore unless it's an excessive amount of alcohol lol oh and the Phloertin CF is waaaay better at evening out skin tone and lightening those pesky brown spots & hyperpigmentation, trust me, I've seen the before and a after photos on skinceuticals uk website as well as dermstore and im impressed

There really isn't a "right" answer and if you asked many people you'd probably get different answers from everyone. My general rule is I wait until it's absorbed and dry, usually a couple minutes. I think it's a bit tough for everyone to have to wait 20 minutes every morning so as long as it's dry on your skin i think you'll be just fine.

Would it be possible for you to do a review on Oz Naturals Vitamin C + AHA Facial Serum when you get the chance. Thank you.

I'll have to check that one out, I haven't tried anything from that brand but people have mentioned how much they like that vitamin c from them.

@@NOBSBeauty Thank you so much, I appreciate it! Oz Naturals is very affordable and I am trying to find products that incorporate AHA. I also purchased three snail products (Mizon, CosRx and Purito) after watching your videos on the products. I enjoy your reviews and they are so helpful!!!

Their Vitamin C. They have a whole line of products that I had bought several but after watching your reviews I noticed Go Pure doesn’t tell you exactly how much vitamin C is in their products. I have three sun spots I’m trying to get rid of and some fine wrinkles which has started me on this journey to better skincare. I don’t have extra money to through away and it’s really hard when there’s so many products on the market. I’m glad I found your channel.

Hurray 🙌🙌 I've been waiting for this review of timeless vitamin c serum😊😊 ...and btw your skin is glowiiiiiiiiiiiiing 🥰🥰❤️. Quick question, what's the actual color of that timeless VC? is it clear or slightly yellow? I'm planning to purchase it. Thanks

Hi. I use the Timeless and order from their website. it’s clear and runny and absorbs quickly. I keep it in the frig and shake it before dispensing it. I don’t tilt the packaging because it use to leak. it works fine now. Hope this helps.

@@perettelear6603 ooh no mine is not that clear it's slightly yellow but not too much although I've used it for 12 days only since i purchased It. i hope it hasn't started to oxidize i keep mine in the fridge too. Thanks anyway 😊

Hello, maybe you know how vitamin C could affect skin with rosacea? Maybe I need to avoid it? Thank you!
@drkatvalentine4 жыл бұрын
You may want to start with a lower percentage, but vitamin c should be ok for roseacea-prone skin. I have sensitive skin with redness that may be roseacea (not from products bc it was there when I used to just use hardly any) and really like vitamin c. It has a nice brightening effect.

It baffles me why dr brenner would have a higher brightening effective compared to timeless since they are essentially the same however timeless has a better form of vitamin E which would greatly boost the vitamin C effects, also based on their packaging, dr brenner's would have oxidized much faster than timeless's which decreases the effectiveness of vitamin C. With these 2 losing points of dr brenner's, but it is still has more brightening effects and is more effective, i thought it would be the other way round. I really what is it in the dr brenner's formula that makes it more effective than timeless even with the similar ingredients list but even with 2 detrimental points hmmmm🤔🤔
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
Very good points! I really love that Timeless upgraded their packaging, that is a huge factor with Vitamin C products, I think they all should be in airless bottles. I really love these both and find myself reaching for them both quite often. The DB really did help with Brightening, although since I'd been using Timeless for years it's possible it did help with Brightening probably most when I initially started using it. 🤔🤔

Thanks for this review! Timeless is on my list to try next. I currently use By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum and really like it. It isn't sticky, brightens well, short ingredients list and doesn't oxidize as fast as other Vit C that I've tried. Price is a bit higher than normal (guessing it's due to corona and trade) but still affordable (now $28, normally $19 for 1oz). Would be interested to hear your opinions on the other ingredients Wishtrend puts into their Vit C.
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
The Wishtrend vitamin c is one of my favorites of all time. Wishtrend also just came out with another vitamin c serum which is a bit different than their original, but also a really nice Serum. I love that Wishtrend's Serum is more Water based and seems to be very friendly for acne prone skin. I'll definitely do a comparison review of both Serums very soon.

Well shoot dr Brenner didn't work for me, it's too sticky and very shiny I think it has to do with the vitamin E form that they and skinceuticals use...You said it has an identical texture to Skinceuticals C E ferulic so I am glad I didn't spend that money on the C E ferulic! It just sucks for oily skin lol, I just hope it won't back me out now that I applied it 😆 ughhhh I'm trying the Phloretin CF and wish trend 15% vitamin c next, if neither one of those work then that's when I'm just gonna give up on vitamin c serums and just look for alternative antioxidants. Skinceuticals says that Phloretin CF is the vitamin c serum intended for oily skin so we'll see how that's gonna work out, vitamin E is such a good antioxidant it really sucks that it isn't great for oily skin types!

Can you use these products during the day time without it burning your skin?
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
You can, but it does take a few weeks to work up to your skin getting used to them- they are both rather strong sp slowly beginning to use them is very important.
@joannej_Youtube4 жыл бұрын
I do because Vitamin C can boost the effectiveness of your SPF. And you MUST use SPF every day, all year round, whether you go outside or not, especially if you use Vitamin C.

Is the timeless one good for sensitive skin?
@NOBSBeauty3 жыл бұрын
If you are new to vitamin c or have very sensitive skin the Timeless works for a lot of people, but the vitamin c percentage is higher than many other vitamin c serums. If you can check out the Geek and Gorgeous Vitamin C Serum it might be a bit better for sensitive skin and has a little lower amount of vitamin c (15%) which might be a great starter serum.

Do you think it will be a waste to buy the refill for vit C serum? I mean, once you open it, it will start to oxidize.. and the refill is not in an airless pump bottle. I do like the idea of buying the refill to save money, but what's the point if I can't use it later, right? Please let me know what you think.
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
Personally, I prefer a new bottle each time I finish one. Although if you're someone that goes through a bottle pretty quickly then the refill might not be a bad idea. One bottle lasts me about two months so the refill would be pretty oxidized before I even got halfway through it. I like my vitamin c to be as fresh as possible so that's why I'm not a huge fan of the refills.
@Seraphine_OCE4 жыл бұрын
@@NOBSBeauty Yeah I had the same thought. Maybe the refill for other Timeless serums are great but not really a good idea for vit C. Thanks for your reply!

Hi Sarah, I’ve not heard of Dr Brenner. I dunno if you follow the amazing Korean channel Director Pi but she’s referenced the 2nd to last ingredient Trieth...blah blah , is not a good skincare ingredient. I can’t remember why, but she only promotes clean non irritating ingredients . Glad to see Timleless changed the packaging 🥰
