Each party has their fault, however it pains to see the mismanagement of D Rose & his injuries. Idk who was advising him, but rushing back from every injury the man had that 2011-2012 season really did him in. It was probably part D Rose with a “something to prove” mindset after winning MVP the year prior, and Thibodeau’s maniacal coaching style. So many what ifs.

I think, in an alternate universe, the Chicago Bulls are 2014 NBA Champions. Think about it: A prime Derrick Rose, DPOY Joakim Noah and a young Jimmy Butler. If, in that universe, they don't trade Luol Deng to the Cavs, that's a championship squad right there. I think what this video proves, more than anything, is how much injuries can ruin what could otherwise be a HOF-caliber career.

There are a few moments where I cried regarding to sports.. I cried when Rose scored 50 pts just because I knew how much that game, and the game itself means to him. He has never went on to talk madness he has always been about his business. The injuries suck, and I wish he was healthier in that regards but man I can't deny his earlier years. Dude was a monster.

Had to stop a minute in… there are a lot of quick guards with excellent lateral movement but he was so special with the combination of speed and body control- just smooth as silk with his footwork. One thing I applaud Rose on is his skill. A lot of athletic guards depend to much on their physical ability and neglect acquiring skills and IQ. He did that later on and it shows. I know it sucks not to see what prime rose could have been, but this dude is one of the best ball handlers in the league, and he can still cross over any defender.

I remember watching that piece when Smith says the D Rose we knew is done. I remember back then people thought he was crazy for saying that statement, myself included especially when it looked like he was making a comeback. But now I don’t know. At the very least I will say he’s definitely basketball’s greatest what-ifs (up there with the Zaza-Leonard play). I don’t know if the first injury was a sign of things to come or if the ACL tear was the dam finally giving out and it just made it worse for him but that’s why Rose will always be what if imo.

I could almost consider him a bust because of these injuries he’s been dealing with. It’s just good that he still has some talent in him but he needs to stay healthy.

I wish the Bulls kept Ben Gordon because he would have taken some minutes from Rose and may have prevented some key injuries.

D Rose was a great player but injuries hurt him. He is the best though.

Man, I love Ayo and Zo but if ever the bulls need another PG, I'd love him back to Chi. Rose + Demar + Lavine would be fun to watch
