Yathrib changed into Madinah by Nabi Muhammad, so it is Sunnah to call the city as Madinah, but Nabi Muhammad don't and never change the name of Constantinople to Istanbul, so it's not right to call it Istanbul, according to Sunnah Nabi Muhammad SAW

"Yathrib" is a name mentioned not only in Hadith but also is there in the Qur'an, Sheikh Imran Hosein is not mentioning "Yathrib" on his own will, he is just mentioning what our prophet (SA) used in his life.

@@aamm88222 Madina simply means City. When it's mentioned in the context of Yathrib it doesn't assign a new name than Yathrib, it just means The City of Prophet (SA). As simple as that. Renaming Constaninople to Istanbul is entirely different from calling Madina to the city of prophet (SA). Hope you understand it!

جزاک اللہ But I've a question Hadith narrated in Sahih Bukhari from Awf Bin Malik who said that "I went to the Prophet during the Ghazwa of Tabuk while he was sitting in a leather tent. He said, "Count six signs that indicate the approach of the Hour: my death, the conquest of Jerusalem, a plague that will afflict you (and kill you in great numbers) as the plague that afflicts sheep, the increase of wealth to such an extent that even if one is given one hundred Dinars, he will not be satisfied; then an affliction which no Arab house will escape, and then a truce between you and Bani Al-Asfar (i.e. the Byzantines) who will betray you and attack you under eighty objectives. Under each objective will be twelve thousand soldiers". The same Hadith is narrated in Abu Dawood with some different words. The Prophet said: "You will make peace with the People of Rome and then you and they together will combat an enemy. You will be victorious in that battle. After that all of you will stay at a pasture, at that time a person from among the People of the cross will raise a cross then a Muslim will get angry and rise to him and push him away. Thereafter all the People of Rome get together and attack you under eighty flags…" [Abu Dawood]

He has lost the plot since the past 2-3 years. Negating an established reading just to suit his reasoning is a new low even for him. The ayah does not say that Isa (ahs) has knowledge of the hour. His ignorance of the Arabic language is compounded by his sheer recklessness in interpreting the Qur'an and Hadith to suit his own eschatological conclusions. May Allah save the ummah from his increasing misguidance.

Adnan Khan - To be accurate , the Sheikh did not say that Jesus know the knowledge of the Hour, rather he said the return of Jesus is a sign giving us knowledge that the Hour is near.

@@Glajdar Unfortunately, in Part 1 of this lecture (around the 9:30 minute mark) he does say that reading 'wa innahu la ilmullissa'ati' means that Isa (ahs) knows when the Hour is, and he then proceeds to say that even the Bible negates that Jesus knows when the Hour will occur. Totally misinformed, because the above ayah certainly does not mean or say that Isa (ahs) knows when the Hour will occur and therefore there is no need to say that the punctuation is wrong - astaghfirullah. He has truly lost the plot of late.
