Yeah, completely lost on anyone born after 1990. That was during an era where the announcers had a profound effect on getting guys over. Vince McMahon gets the rap of being a corny play by play announcer but he was actually a master at getting guys over. Since he and Pat Patterson booked the storylines he intimately knew his wrestlers and could amplify their strengths and bury their weaknesses. He portrayed Valentine as a rock solid no nonsense heel and coupled with the Hammer's snug work it made him really believable.

Magnum TA.. For me, the biggest "what if" in wrasslin history. He got so good in such a short amount of time. One of my fanfest highlights. Valentine has always been amazing & why he never was given an opportunity to run with a World Title is beyond me. I know they played with it with him vs Hogan, but, he should've been a multi time NWA Worlds Champion too. I love these deals.

Wow, this was great. 1985 was indeed a magical year for pro-wrestling. On one side you had Vince McMahon begin to morph a regional territory into a larger-than-life entertainment business and on the other (NWA), you had a business that was geared towards a more adult-oriented product. Even as a 13 year old kid, however, I would watch 'World Wide Wrestling' religiously every week here in Philly on channel 17 every Sat. @ 2pm because JCP's brand of wrestling was much more exciting than WWF's star vs. jobber matches.

This was a huge story in the mainstream media in the early 90's after the allegations surfaced about what was happening with the ring boys in the 80's. Mel Phillips was a ring announcer for the WWF in the 80's who allegedly liked to diddle the ring boys. Pat Patterson was also ensnared in this scandal and had to depart the WWF for a while until the heat died down.

Listening to Ken Patera tell his side of the story and why he went to prison is completely different than what everyone else thought. Saito wasn’t an innocent bystander when he “threw” the boulder (which according to Patera was thrown by a former employee that had recently been fired) Saito was helping Patera fend off the cops who attempted to arrest him without even hearing him out about what happened. Interesting.

Oh, that's just nonsense. Patera was a first class asshole. He even wound up serving his entire sentence, because of all the problems he caused while in prison. Saito got out early. Also, why wasn't the former employee named at any point in the trial? If that was true, wouldn't Patera's account have shown up in the initial statement, or at trial? And what does that have to do with Patera and Saito kicking the living shit out of several cops? You don't think he served 2 years in prison for simple vandalism, do you?

Bull. Magnum and his "spot" are WILDLY exaggerated. He was the one Ronnie Garvin replaced, essentially. He would have gotten a few months, then would drop it back to Flair, LIKE THE NWA AND JCP ALWAYS DID IT. He would have eventually wound up a midcarder in the WWF. His interviews were not good at all, and his 5 years out of date Magnum P.I. crap would have been laughed at.

It’s ok as a fan winning a Rolls Royce but you would have to sell it as the upkeep on a car like that is expensive! When it needs a service you’ll have to take it to a Rolls-Royce dealership and that will set you back a pretty penny, if it needs a part changed that will be very expensive, even changing a tyre will be more expensive than most cars as they’re wheels are 21in/22in and also I can only imagine how much it costs to insure a Rolls-Royce which needs to be done to just drive the thing! If you can afford to buy a Rolls-Royce these things aren’t a problem because you have the money but for an average person to win a Rolls-Royce they can’t afford to drive and own the car

@@Rjensen2 Yes And such things as proper editing are expected from a normally stellar operation such as KC. Don’t forget, these are free for a reason. They’re a teaser for the content that’s behind the paywall. If the editing is indicative of the content, who the hell is gonna ante up for a monthly charge?!? Now, myself and others quite familiar with Sean’s work over the last 20 years know that he has an exemplary reputation within pro wrestling circles, with the exception of Konnan, but that’s another story, lol. But what if a first-timer stumbled upon this video? Someone who didn’t know the product or Sean?

Sean Oliver and his production company are by far the best producers of shoot interviews and other behind the scenes wrestling productions but the music between the takes is absolutely dreadful and you know it’s coming. It’s so bad and annoying and their video game graphics were a poor choice as well. New Jersey is proud as hell of Sean and his accomplishments. He is pushing hard to get the Kliq This podcast with Kevin Nash over but there’s only so much Sean can do with Kevin after the death of his son , Scott Hall and then constantly pushing their political views in the podcast. It’s like Flairs podcast. The Name will get you subscribed but your content will ultimately fail.
