I have had this grinder for a couple years now and love it and see no reason for further upgrading. I do 23 clicks for medium to dark roast(fresh) in my V60 and 15 for Aeropress. Still tweaking for Moka pot.

Hell yeah! It's a great grinder.

I just got my first V60 and I LOVE it, but the blade grinder just doesn't cut it. Just need a Good Burr Grinder like the Timemore C2 and I am all set on my Home Barista journey.

You got it man! C2 is a BIG upgrade from a blade grinder :) Very soon we will be stocking some C3 grinders too, so hang around for that!

I've got older Chestnut C2 with a plastic knob that's breaking. Would new metal knob fit it? I'd assume that thread should be the same.

Hey thanks so much for watching! Hmm I’m not too sure about this one, all my experience has been with the C2. I think you should definitely send Timemore an email about this!

How many clicks should be used for a v60 setup?? Using dark roast coffee
@TheBasicBarista Жыл бұрын
This will depend on your coffee and exactly how dark your coffee is roasted / the tastes you are wanting to acheive. Personally I prefer light roasted coffee when making v60 / other pour over's but for dark maybe start at around 20-30 click range and then dial in from there depending on your taste. We have a full blog post on brewing V60 here: thebasicbarista.com/blogs/topics/my-favourite-v60 Hope this helps! Happy Brewing☕️

Do i have to set the grind setting each time I use it?
@TheBasicBarista2 ай бұрын
Not if you plan on using the same grind size. If you're going from espresso > Filter then yes, you will need to change the grind size. If you're just using the same brew method and same coffee you may need to tweak the grind size by 1-2 clicks due to the different humidity and ambient temp but this is more prominent in espresso rather than pour over brew methods :) I Hope this helps !!!

Can you upgrade the burs on this, like for espresso? Could you review the timemore esp? Well done video though the music is a bit annoying
@TheBasicBarista Жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, hmm not sure about any burr upgrades. I am pretty sure you can purchase a titanium coated burr set maybe? You should double check this as we don't stock these (Just the grinders)

I used Time More C1 for several years, then I upgraded to Commandante. I didn't find a difference in the taste. I use it for filtering Kmex and V60.
@TheBasicBarista2 жыл бұрын
Wow nice man! I guess that works well if you don’t find a difference. For me the difference was massive, Comandante had much more clarity and cleaner taste than the c2 and to be frank any other hand grinder I’ve tasted

@@TheBasicBarista The comentante is wonderful, fine grinding As for the Time More C2 rough, it suffices What is special about comentante is that it is a grinder that lasts more than 10 years. It was with a friend of mine

Are there any significant differences between the Timemore C1 and C2 and if the click settings are the same? Because I would like to test different recipes but there are clicks for example on Comandante or C2 but I haven't found C1. And does the upgrade from C1 to C2 or C3 make sense?
