I definitely know why Ramsay is so strict about people attempting to cut corners. I bet if he was making food at home, he wouldn’t care as much about most of these things happening, however, he’s witnessed what cutting corners does. In the food service, when you get lazy, it continuous. you get lazier, and eventually your food is just no good. Ramsay has seen this on Kitchen Nightmares, all of the bad chefs on there are ones who cut corners, and they probably didn’t start that way, but picked up the habit because it was easier and faster.

Exactly. These are supposed to be people competing to be head chefs in high end restaurants. It's why I wasn't surprised that Ramsay chose Virginia over Keith. Keith may have had slightly better services, but in every other aspect, he seemed pretty bad

It's there for items where the meat is obscured such as Wellingtons, once you slice the meat it starts to dry meaning you only get one shot at getting the temperature right, with a chicken you can see and feel how cooked it is from a distance but with Wellingtons you would need to take extra precausion as Temping through a layer of pastry isnt possible.

They’re cooking at a high level, chicken is obvious to tell when it’s fully cooked. She’s essentially wasting time by pulling the chicken out and waiting to temp it

Ive worked in some fine dining places and my brother has worked and ran even more. The thermometer things is such BS. 99% of the time, you dont need a thermometer, but once in a while, you do. This is real life, and ppl can get sick. It's just carless and arrogant to think you would never use one even at the highest lvls of cooking. Pros to using a thermometer when needed : food safety, keep food cost down , better consistency. Cons: booboo on your ego I get the main point of at this lvl it shouldnt be needed but at the end of the day the freak out was just for TV. Thankfully no chef ive worked with is actually like that...altho iv had some close 😅

Jennifer was screwed in the final 4. The boys picked E-least because they knew they could beat her. One of them would have definitely been sent home against Jennifer. I still have a problem with that season. But I will always watch the show!

Yeah the producers brought Elise Harris back for ratings but also Ramsey technically had a part of this since he thought Elise was you know passionate even though Elise cause major problems in both season 9 and 17

Elise is not a walking train wreck like the dialect you have in this video. Elise was very talented and such a good chef, and had she been just a little less Regina George she would’ve either won or came a runner up. Elise cooking skills were not bad, but her attitude at times and how she couldn’t work with others was terrible, how can you be a head chef and not be a team player and or have that bad of an attitude? You have to get your team standing with you, by following, and listening to you, Gordon has said this countless times all throughout any season of Hell’s Kitchen, which is why they have team challenges etc. then later on be on your own to see how you are as chef on your own, Elise is good chef as far cooking food yes, but her personality stinks 🤷🏻‍♀️
