We love your opinion. One thing I can say is that they're very clear and well thought out and expressed. There are people who have opinions but are very surface level and can't really express them because they don't know wtf they're talking about. When you speak you speak with passion and you're firm in your beliefs. I think that's why we all love and respect you. You're very genuine.

100% agree about the gay identity thing as a gay person I feel as if a lot of young gays make it their entire personality and I feel as if social media normalized it in one hand I feel it’s good but in another hand I feel like it just stereotypes all gay people as loud and obnoxious.
@nic5582 жыл бұрын
And the toxicity of “acting straight” like??? Me acting out of a stereotype makes me straight???? And don’t get me started on others gays sexualizing/fetishizing THE F*CK out of “masculine”/“straight” men. Which would sometimes include Bi guys. It’s a lot of problems in our community 🤦🏽♂️

I think you should meet people in real life, and talk to them. Before saying they have no personality. But that's my opinion.
@serylta2 жыл бұрын
This may honestly be a first for me to kinda disagree with Dee, I mean it's true who you're attracted to should be nobody's business but I don't think gay people make it their personality, it is a big part of their identity but not everything, they should be able to come out to those they love and consider close if they want to, it's a big relief when it's something you no longer have to hide and can be open about, plus you never really know who would accept you for being gay. You just gotta get to know them.
@okaytsonei2 жыл бұрын
@@serylta Yeah, but how many straight people talk about their partners and crushes etc. You could argue that's also no ones business, everyone should just shut up about relationships. If you meant "you don't owe anyone a coming out" that would make sense. But they're coming out by choice. Anyways, it's just unrealistic. Why should gay people shut up but not straight people.
@serylta2 жыл бұрын
@@okaytsonei Exactly, thank you! Gay people certainly don't owe anyone a come out, I for one agree they should be allowed to be open about it without people criticizing them as weird or making it their personality, seems nobody has an issue with that with straight people. Can't expect gay people to hide and be silent about it, it's not fair or right.

I don't think what you asked that Asian woman was offensive lol. My family is from Nigeria and when I tell people my name they always get curious and ask me where I'm from. I don't find it offensive at all. It's just people displaying genuine curiosity and I don't think people should be afraid to ask, as long as they're not being rude or ignorant ofc. People too sensitive nowadays lmao

Why would it be racist to ask an Asian woman in Bali if she's from Indonesia. That's crazy 🤦🏽♂️
@Nandoswitharando2 жыл бұрын
@radicalmight but what’s the difference between asking where she’s from and asking where her parents are from? Where does it become offensive to her because the Asian woman could be just as offended by dee asking her if she’s from that country. Dee said a specific country, the white lady didn’t even reference Africa dee just assumed that’s what she meant.

For you asking the Bali chick if she was Indonesian and the white girl asking you where were your parents from, I think none of those situations would warrant being offended ot weirded out imho. It's just questions stemming from curiosity or ignorant clichés. I don't get why it'd be different especially with no ill intent behind it, except if the cliché is really egregious or negative. But we all have our pet peeves

Why would asking someone where they are from be offensive? If they keep asking you where you are from as an African American then they know what they doing lol
@kayladt252 жыл бұрын
I get the coming out thing but I don't at the same time. Coming out to your family is something some people have to do because it;s not just about fucking in private, it's about a relationship and part of your life. Some people are going to get married to their same sex and cant bombard their ignorant grandmother with this news the day of the ceremony. Meanwhile coming out publicly wasn't really a trend until dare I say youtube, cause of people like Connor Franta and Troye Sivan. For them It made a lot of sense cause of their largely female audiences and their feeling to need to be someone the're not to make a lively hood. And from there on it became a whole thing, but now its much more lowkey than it used to be. People tend to "come out" publicly more casually than a 20 minute video of them crying about their story.
