I absolutely HATED how Krabs was in Whale of a Birthday! Not realizing his own daughter is turning 16 and no remembering her birthday is one thing, but ruining Pearl’s party with stuff like stale popcorn, dishwater punch, a statue of Pearl made out of raw Krabby Patties, cake made out of cardboard and frosting, and Squidward’s cringeworthy performance is LOW even for him! He doesn’t even bother using money to make Pearl’s party amazing and perfect for her instead of lazy and stupid! He definitely doesn’t deserve a best cartoon dad ever award that’s for sure.

This doesn’t even need to be a video. Everyone who’s watched seasons 1-7 knows(or should know) that Krabs has no regard for life period. He has had a few moments like trying to protect Spongebob from the hooks, showing actual rare emotion over Spongebob in Dying for Pie, or trying to get his adopted daughter Pearl a date for her prom but like I said these are exceptions. Now Krabs being cheap isn’t what makes him despicable Scrooge McDuck was cheap in the first Duck Tales and he still was received well for a number of reasons. For starters he knew when to put his love for cash down and focus on more important/urgent priorities at the moment. He also showed actual concern for his family and even life in general. The final reason is that Scrooge knew the basics of owning and running a business. He usually knew when he was making a profitable decision. Krabs is just a moron with a fetish over green paper and loose change. That combined with doing pretty much everything that would be considered illegal or immoral really makes it hard to show sympathy with him when karma comes to bite him. To put this in perspective let’s compare Krabs deeds with an actual antagonist of the show. The worst thing Plankton has ever done is attempted to enslave Bikini Bottom and yes that’s evil but it’s probably one of the first diabolical things he’s ever done in the series unless you count using Spongebob for land development. Typically he’s just guilty of attempted theft. How awful. Krabs has done everything from food poisoning his customers, animal abuse, driven someone to attempted suicide, to gambling/selling or even firing Spongebob for the most stupid reasons ever😡, amongst other things. Now the other main characters don’t exactly have clean consciences either but if someone asked me who I thought is the villain in this show my answer would be Krabs pretty much every time.

This is the reason why Mr. Krabs is the most cheapest but hated character in history. He couldn't pay for everything and he's always cheap. Why is he so irresponsible to her adopted daughter? All she wants is to get new items and she needs her place once she grows up. Mr. Krabs shouldn't always be cheap. But sometimes he can. He can only buy at least one expensive item every other month. I don’t know why this just hit me but why would Krabs find it hard to fire Pearl? I’d understand if he showed that he actually gave a d*** about her, his freaking parenting responsibilities, or morality in general but he’s fired both Spongebob and Squidward on numerous occasions some of which they had done nothing to warrant it. Bottom line is just like i mentioned previously Krabs has done almost every illegal and moral offense there is and him caring about anything other than currency is almost nonexistent so it’s pointless to have him act like he has a conscience because he doesn’t for about 90% of the time

I wasn’t as hardcore a fan as some other people who have watched this show so I’m just curious. Is it ever explained WHY Krabs raised Pearl at all? Forget reality, biology, or even show continuity. Krabs rarely ever sacrifices a cent for anyone/anything(even himself) if possible so unless there is an episode that delves in this topic my only guess is that Mr Krabs was somehow legally forced into providing for Pearl. Take in mind that Bikini Bottom’s law system is almost non-existent unless it plays a role in the plot so it’s not that outrageous an idea that Mr Krabs might have committed a crime and this was the punishment as a result.
