The Burden of Belief Lyrics:
Burden of this belief, unanswered questions that haunt me
Tears bring me some relief as they wash away the sadness, sadness and grief
Burden of this belief, this journey has brought me to my knees
Will you show me what it means to believe
How can I let go
How can I find peace
Staring lost at the crossroads desperate for answers give me a reason to believe
Burden of this belief, this journey has brought me to my knees
Will you show me what it means to believe
How can I let go
How can I find peace
Fall down to your knees
Wash me clean of this deceit
Fall down to your knees
Wash me clean of all my grief
I feel numb
I don't feel anything at all
There's nothing left inside me so I set myself free
Burden of this belief this journey has brought me to my knees
Will you show me what it means to believe
How can I let go
How can I find peace
Fall down to my knees
Wash me clean of this deceit
Fall down to my knees
Wash me clean of all my grief
Fall down to my knees
Now I let go, now I set myself free
Fall down to my knees
Now I let go, now I set myself free

Thank you everyone! This album will be decidedly different from HOABM after all a full facade and many life events have changed us. I am certain if you are open you will find yourself immersed and connected as we roll out songs in the next 2 months. We will touch on Rock/Blues/indie rock/Post Metal and touches of “Metalcore” We very much wanted to further distance ourselves from KSE and develop more of our own sound. That being said we put our entire souls into this album and I wouldn’t change a single thing. ***Also little side note there are leftover songs that will eventually come out at a later time that have a different vibe and didn’t make sense with this album. Between all of that there is enough sounds and styles to satisfy any TOG fan. Thank you to everyone for your support! It means more than you’ll ever know my friends!

Same here man, it was shorty after my moms suicide. I recall staring out at a playground -where the swings were, dark at night w/ the snow falling, listening to Hymn Of A Broken Man and it just got me so emotional, what a perfect record (the song specifically was 'In The Arms of Mercy', still gives me chills when I think back to that moment)

I was in the midst of a very turbulent time of my life when Hymns of a Broken Man came out. I was battling between falling yet crawling out of my own blackhole. That album was a soundtrack for my life. Jesse has always been one of, if not my favorite vocalist and that album marked his return to the musical realm. My realm. The title track Hym of a Btoken man defined my feelings of self and the world around me. Yet other songs gave me hope, faith, and assurance there was love to be found. Adam and Jesse are this metalcore generations Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. I got to see the band shortly after the album came out and personally tell Adam he was one of my heroes and thank him. I'm not exaggerating when I say those 2 guys saved my life. I hope someday to tell them again, thank you. For their music and helping me see there is legitimacy in carrying hope in our hearts. For their acknowledgement that some of suffer from a broken mind that we at times cant help. Yet, we should never lose faith that moments of agony will pass. Thank you Adam and Jesse. I sincerely mean it when say you guys were a massive factor in saving this broken man. Now..... I can say I'm glad I weathered the storm and lived to be here for this moment. Cant wait to have a new album full of inspiration, love, faith, and hope to carry me through another decade of my life. I acknowledge we do not personally know each other and never will. Regardless.... I love you guys with all my heart and may a higher power be with you.

Songs of Loss and Separation came out a few months before my mother passed away, i didnt discover this album until the day it happened. Two years and 8 months later since that tragic moment, I'm sitting down nestled in the Rocky Mountains having created a new life out of nowhere except a blind motivation. There's been more than my share of days where the burden of my own belief has gotten the best of me, it's because of tracks like this that I've begun to believe I'm on the right path. It's because of artists such as this and the vast amount of others that I'm able to keep working on my own music. Thank you Times of Grace for being there through your own strife and continuing to put it out there for us. 🙏

From "lead me to the crossroad I can find my way home." To "lost at the crossroad, desperate for answers." To me that connection signifies how time changes our perspective of reality and what we believe to be true and having to come to terms with the fact that things are no longer the same in our lives and that time is long gone, I'm not sure if that was intentional by Jesse, but it's a very powerful connection.Theres so many beautiful themes in this song, sorrow, shame, grief, depression and the end of the song feels like all of those feelings finally being released and the sense of liberation that comes with that release.

About 3 or 4 years ago I was confronted with a very simple, albeit life-changing question. I didn't know it at the time but this one question, "WHY.....do I believe" would slowly but surely tear down every shred of faith I ever had. At first it was mentally and emotionally exhausting, battling the indoctrination I had been raised with, trying to think objectively and free of bias, I'm still not sure if that'll ever be completely possible. Sadness, grief, and guilt plagued me for weeks, even months. I felt like I wasn't a true believer, like I had done something wrong for daring to question why.... But through the years, with time, lots of deep consideration and a community of so many others, just like me, I feel I'm free from such silly dogma. I never could put into words exactly how it felt, but I feel like Jesse has done it perfectly here: I'm finally free from the *burden* of this belief. Because it truly was a burden, a burden that I thought was a gift, or a trophy of some sort, years ago at the height of my delusions. Maybe I've completely misinterpreted the song but this is what it speaks to me, probably because of the filter of my own life experiences. Either way it's a killer track and I cannot wait to hear more from Times of Grace.

Nonstop listening of the original album. Music has been my release since my gf passed last year of cancer. Looks like I will be buying this album too! Sounds awesome already.

I think one of the most intimate and sincere ways grown men can truly express and translate the deep feelings and strongest emotion is through music. I've expected nothing less of the new Times of Grace music, and you guys delivered. This album will fill the void like The Hymn of a Broken Man did, and I'm excited like a kid waiting for Christmas! Thank you guys for years and years of great music and pure passion for art and expression. And being here in Russia, in different culture, thousands of miles away, your music still feels like home, and you feel like the closest circle of friends to me. Much love and respect!

Even at 10 seconds in the tears were banging at the gates. The Hymn Of A Broken Man has gotten me through so much for the past 10 years. I believe I'm in a better place now but still finding my way. But this song alone hit pretty hard. I fucking love every part of it. If I can wait this long for 1 song I guess I'll wait a few more weeks for the rest of the album lol. Please for the love of God come to Houston Texas!!
