DongHa already pushes and strains at C#5 and is already at a very light mix at Eb5 which is a sign of an underdeveloped mixed coordination. Hwesung can go as high as F and higher in his Still Loving You song with great transition to his mixed/head without discrepancy with the sound. That is a BEST sign of someone getting a good grasp of an excellent mixed voice. And do you know how many male singers can reach that high with that consistency? Not a whole lot I’m telling you. Even Dimash sounds different in his mixed voice. You can clearly see the notes being hit in this video dude. Like, how much research do you still need? Just… Your opinion on who is better is IRRELEVANT if we’re talking about vocal technique which is an objective thing. DongHa doesn’t even know how to not strain on a C#5. People call that soulful because of the rasp, but that is his body saying to stop because it’s painful. It’s beyond his control.

@@tia1496 Well at the top of my head I can mention Ha Hyunwoo, Kim Jaehwan, Park Hyo Shin, Gaho, Lee Hong Ki from FTisland, Kang Seungyoon from WINNER and Sandeul, all of them reach his level of technique and can put out unique performances, and there’s many more. The Korean music industry is more than kpop and the rock industry there is way older than Hweseung, he’s young and there’s many veterans that he probably looks up to that reach his level and higher. He’s awesome but he’s not on a superior level of his own on the industry xd. Edit: I want to add Yoon Do Hyun from YB because they’re rock legends in Korea and I can’t believe I forgot him.
