Timesplitters 2 on hard is easily one of the most difficult FPS experiences ever.

I played it so much that I found hard mode a joke. I eventually created a map in the mapmaker where it's you against 100 sentrybots (15 active at any one time), with no ammo drops besides what you could crib off enemies. Current objective: Survive And yes, this was the music track for the map.

@@toadofsteel Dare I ask how many hours it took to get to that skill level? Probably less than me, I'm not the greatest at games and by the time I hit 100% I felt pretty accomplished. Too bad Retroracer is kinda underwhelming.

@@mikeb8441 TS2 and Morrowind were pretty much the only games I played in high school (aside from the Kotor games a little bit). Logged over 1000 hours in both.

Atomsmasher on hard had me trapped for a while. I thought getting all 66 platinum medals was easier than that. And yeah, retroracer was my least favorite of the 3.

Now that I think about it, it's probably because the bassline sounds like a muffled motor noise. If you haven't noticed, most machines in games DON'T make motor noises unless they are part of a vehicle of some sort. If they are bosses, not usually, at least not something consistent, deep, and loud like this. Plus, there's something about that muffled effect that just makes it seem more powerful to me. It's settled, evil machines need more motor sounds in video games. Wouldn't you agree?

TBH the boss was intimidating enough due to that short wait and the noises you hear before the door opens, the actual sight of it when the doors opened, the 2 ChassisBots infrequently teleporting in and the sound of this track. Then there's the fact the Robot Factory was a looooong level, so if you died you'd have to replay half the level again (which was so damn time-consuming on hard mode).

It stands for "to be honest". Yeah hard mode on Timesplitters 2 is pretty frustrating. God help you on Atomsmasher and Robot Factory XD. Timesplitters: Future Perfect's hard mode is a cakewalk compared to 2's.

I could barely hear this music over the robot's noise, but the baseline was easy to hear, to the point that I actually listened to this here to see if it was actually part of the robot's noises. XD Seriously though, if that baseline were actually one of the noises made by that robot, it would make that boss seem a crapton more intimidating when you think about it.

I was actually gonna tackle hard mode after listening to this...and then I realized I had to play through all the other levels on Hard mode first. Still haven't beaten the first one on hard mode yet for various reasons, particularly those snipers that keep showing up when I'm NOT looking at their window. XD Oh well, it's not my game anyway, but my friend's, and I plan to return it as soon as he lets me borrow Baten Kaitos from him. Out of curiosity, I forget what TBH means. Enlighten me?
