On the monument at 07:52 it is written : "Glory to the Romanian soldier, heir to the ancestral traditions who fought heroically against Bolshevism and fascism for the freedom and independence of the homeland".

*Timisoara was the first city in entire Europe which had benefited of electric illumination on the streets. The event happened 139 years ago, on November 12, in 1882 , when 731 lamps have been turned on for the citizens...*

Wasnt IT timisoara where the December revolution started? :) Ive been to Bucharest, Transylvania and Constanta aswell as Brasov 👍👍 and ive had the honour of being with some romanian ladies😁💘 their eyes Are the most beautiful i think and their motherly Nature 😊😊💋💋💋 te lubesc romanie Traiasca libertate traiasca Romania 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴 Also, the "Little Paris thing is due to the blooming of external influences and "HOCHKULTUR" from Paris and other central european countries in the wake of the romanian revolution (Romania before this a Devlyat, under the ottoman empire). It marks the golden age of romanian poetry, art and litterature 💘😊.

New and better Places u got to visit in romania: - Vama Veche beach resort (a unique place in europe where the hippie, bikers, yogy, office workers, mercedes drivers.. forget prejudices and enjoy together… its like the Goa of europe) - Therme Bucharest ( largest, fanciest spa in europe.. the size of a shopping mall… has a beach, pools, slides even a warm pool outside in rain and snow with jacuzzi which lets you enjoy drinks at -20 degrees in winter and be warm.. stellar… and looks.. like dubai) - Transalpina (if you fancy a scenic drive) - There are many more places..Mamaia luxury beach resort, Venus, Saturn.. all beach resorts which look really good (romanian st tropez) - Turda salt mine/ other salt mines… they are jaw dropping.. to be submerged 100-200m in a cave made of salt.. with a ferris wheel inside and sorts Many many options in Romania Even more non touristy like burried ancient cities.. so much to discover really Literally everything you could think of, you find in romania.. even the Sphynx and Pyramids we have here.. no joke real Sphynx in the mountains and pyramids here.. check:p

not that i want to be disrespecfull or hatefull , i like your videos. But would u like your irish cities to be called "Little...." and then some famous City from England? its a little oooof to us
@PaulTheIrishPainter3 жыл бұрын
I remember a previous comment you wrote saying something similar. That's what people called it. You don't like it as you're clearly a very proud Romanian. Little Paris was a nickname and I'm sure it was meant as a compliment not an insult. To be compared to arguably the most beautiful city in the world surely isn't something to be offended by. You like your history so you should look up the reasons why Bucharest was compared to Paris. It's all positive.
@PaulTheIrishPainter3 жыл бұрын
Apologies. That was the Bucharest video where you commented saying the same thing. I've just realized this is the Timisoara video. For non natives these comparisons are interesting and curious. That's why I add it on the videos. It's historically accurate to say these are the nicknames given to certain cities. Myself and most other travel vlogs I watch make the videos to show a place is probably worth visiting. Not to please people who live or have already been there. It's impossible to get it right or to keep everyone happy. I Hope you understand that.
@healththenopulence51062 жыл бұрын
@@PaulTheIrishPainter its actually flattering your city to be called like that.. thats what 99% of us in Ro think! Everyone has their opinion tho:) romanians can be a bit like the germans sometimes.. but they are like italians most of the times:)
@crepooscul2 жыл бұрын
@@PaulTheIrishPainter No need to explain yourself to a doofus with an inferiority complex. I actually wish that "Little Paris" was still an accurate name for Bucharest, but Ceausescu demolished my once beautiful city.
