Best vlog anyone has ever made of Cuba. Growing up in and exploring Florida, I can imagine this life. I know the smells, and appreciate the people. We live similarly when you’re put in Florida, no shirt no shoes cigarettes and laughter all day everyday. Anyone from south Florida knows Cubans are the best people and we always welcome more and more, they improve any neighborhood they congregate in.

You are certainly lucky to live in the United States, Because the United States is the only country that the United States will not invade or fill with sanctions. Cuba is a small island in the Caribbean that has suffered unfair and criminal sanctions by the United States for 62 years. The Cuban reality is closely linked to North American sanctions. Right now there are 243 sanctions that aim to destroy the Cuban economy, finances and trade. Among these sanctions, the worst are including Cuba on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. Bush put Cuba on that list, Obama took Cuba off that list, and Trump put Cuba back on that list. Cuba is outside the SWIFT system, so Cuba cannot use the dollar. North American citizens cannot travel to Cuba as tourists. The United States does not buy anything that is made with more than 30% Cuban minerals. Ships from anywhere in the world that call at a Cuban port must wait 6 months to travel to the United States. For this reason, 95% of the ships that navigate the waters of the Caribbean do not enter Cuba, greatly affecting Cuban trade, because goods do not enter and neither do they leave. The United States does not buy Cuban products and they hardly sell any products to us. And the little they sell to us, like the famous Kansas chicken, Cuba must pay in cash because no North American company can open a line of credit to Cuba. The United States prohibits the existence of bank accounts that have the word Cuba or Cubano. Cuban athletes or artists who sign for North American companies must leave the country in order to collect their salaries or prizes. The United States has the best Cuban port in its possession, which is in Guantánamo, which is why the island cannot exploit it. Cuba stops receiving 3 million North American tourists every year, and this implies a loss of 3 billion dollars annually. In 62 years, Cuba's losses amount to more than 1 million million dollars. If Cuba had been able to earn that money and invest it in the development of the country, the island would show a very different image than the one it shows today.

Timmy I am Cuban and I tell you to please take care of yourself, I do not judge anyone but I assure you that not even the Cubans themselves surround ourselves much with these people, not because they squeeze your hand and tell you "brother" they are good people, I may be wrong and hopefully so but they only want your money, if you return to Cuba please look for a quieter place. I would also advise you to go to the center of the country, places like Ciego de Ávila, Santa Clara and so, also some other province, The people there tend to be quieter and there is less danger than in Havana, not to mention that not many go to the center to record, it would be a different content. I'm finished watching the video and I also advise you not to get drunk with strangers, those guys look bad and could do anything to you. The video continues to move forward and I'm more alarmed, the first guys are not good, the one who gave you food looks better. (Google Translate).

@teratonexplosion I completely agree. I live in Brazil which can also be a dangerous country or completely not dangerous depending on, what you do and who you hang around with. I'm also not anyone to judge but I can see that situation go wrong quickly for Tim.

They are poor but they share the little they have. God bless the Cuban people. I hope their situation will change. I wish we the US could make peace with them and help them come up. It is so sad for them to suffer when we have so much just right door to them, in the US!

Hi Timmy, I would just like to say thank you at this point. Your travels and impressions in your videos are turning my own life completely upside down. It somehow feels like the final piece of the puzzle that I've always been missing. It's totally crazy, and so many things have happened in the last few months that I never even imagined in my wildest dreams. I'm currently learning/improving my Spanish, planning my further steps and will be leaving Germany very soon. Without your influence, I would probably never have ended up in the relationship I am in right now. I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you good luck on all your future travels, and maybe you'll run into each other in Latin America. The first beer is on me. Greetings (currently still) from Germany, Patrick.
