Mi cantante favorito de todos los tiempos es Michael Kiske, aunque especificamente en estas canciones creo que la voz de kotipelto queda mejor, suena mas metalero y creo que recuerda mucho a stratovarius, la voz de kiske suena mas pop, nunca sonara al clasico sonido helloween, de cualquier forma llos dos hacen muy buen trabajo

Timo is so talented with his transitions from chest tone and falsetto . Not only but he's very good at mixing the two . Michael Kiske I think is a little more obvious when he goes into head voice .

Creo que no hay uno mejor que otro, los 2 son muy buenos. Pero si tengo que juzgar las 2 versiones y compararlos, diría que Kiske, Kotipelto tiene temas geniales también y aunque los temas fueron hechos para el, Kiske le da un paseo, solo un sordo podría decir que Kotipelto suena mejor, Kotipelto suena irritante y demasiado pomposo (Forever, Venus in the Morning y Season of Change) , creo que Kiske tiene una voz mas equilibrada, de lejos me voy por Kiske!

Sorry, but on the title track Kotipelto really owns Kiske. I love Kiske but I think he is using vibrato way too much. On the other hand Kotipelto does pre-choruses and choruses in a way no other power metal vocalist can and his vocal clarity is umatched. I can only wonder how this album would sound with Kotipelto if it was properly produced and not just a demo.

One thing i would like to mention is Timo's accent hurts my ears in most songs hahaha. And to that guy that said Kiske is overrated you must be deaf. True its opinion who is "better" or you like more but if you look at from a musical stand point Kiske is superior not only a power metal pioneer, but he has: 1 stronger vibrato. 2 a better range. 3 better/ much better high pitch voice (without falsetto). Kiske is better in virtually every musical way. but then again its opinion who to like more.

Kotipelto has a great and unique voice and he can hit those high chestnotes like nobody's business, but Kiske got wider range, his technique is way better and his storytelling just sucks you into the song. I just really hope his new band will work out fine so we can hear more of him.

El tono de kotipelto tiene una caracteristica unica, kiske parese tener una voz con mas cuerpo pero un tono mas comun y en ocaciones la voz de kotipelto parece transmitir mas fuerza como si se compenetrace mas con la intencion que llevan las canciones lleva mas pasion, en cuanto a la tecnica y por lo que se a oido en vivo todos estos ańos es mejor kiske pero en fin ,la voz q tiene kotipelto y la interpretacion es unica y con eso se nace asi q me quedo con kotipelto

Kotipelli is alright but his poor English enunciation is a problem. He's good at high pitched yelping like in Find Your Own Voice but that's about the only situation he's very good in. Kiske has a better vibrato too. For English language songs Kiske is king. Andre Matos also has an English enunciation problem but I actually prefer his vocals over either of them except for that. His voice could be described as "angelic". The first lines of In Paradisum are awe inspiring; "angles are calling, etc"

I def stay with Timo cuz at least he's true to power metal unlike Kiske who quit after Helloween, TImo has more emotion in his voice anyway, kiske sounds like a rip off of Dickinson and Tobias Sammet, even Adrian Barilari is a way better singer than Kiske, being able to hit high notes isnt what makes you a good power metal singer

Really i think Kiske it's a little bit overpounded.... I mean he is a REALLY great singer and I like and admire him.. but, singing clean and high it's not everything in life... To me (and many people who fills shows) also it's important the force, the low tones, and a little of dark/dirty voice sometimes.. because that I like also Kotipelto, Andi Deris and Matt Levens (Therion and Malmsteem singer)... PS: Kiske always for me sounds "Helloween" hehehe in any band!! XD

timo has a more defined voice. his singing is more concrete. kiske has a more rocker voice. they generate 2 different types of singing. for the style that stratovarius has i prefer kotipelto, but when it comes to rock stuff, i prefer kiske.

La primera banda de power metal que escuché fue Helloween y sin duda hay que tomar en cueta que Stratovarius se inpiró e esta banda y entre otras pioneras del power metal, eso quiere decir que Timo Kotipelto en cierto modo tiene una cierta inspiración no solo por Michael Kiske sino por otros cantantes que están en todo este negocio de la música. Entonces para mí Michael Kiske es un gran cantante y músico que a pesar de los años no ha perdido su voz, pero sin embargo Timo Kotipelto ha mejorado la técnica del canto porque al ser un músico que entró en la música en un periodo digamos que es la "segunda generación del power metal" ha ganado experiencia de la "primera generación del power metal" entonces es por eso que tiene una mejor técnica o el alumno superó al maestro como se dice en frases populares. Por otro lado el timbre de Timo Kotipelto tiene más color a comparaciós de Michael Kiske, ese factor se debe simplemente al sentimiento que el artista le pone a la melodía que este interpretando ya que Michael Kiske canta excelente pero solo canta con un color de perfección y de técnica, mientras Timo Kotipelto por las canciones que interpreta (sobretodo las baladas) no solo quiere mostrar las técnicas musicales y la perfección que esta implica sino quiere mostrar emociones como tristeza, alegría, furia, nostalgia, etc. Ambos son grandes músicos y cantantes estúpendos, solo que Timo Kotipelto hace que la música que interpreta llegue al alma y ese es el propósito de todas las artes compartir tus sentimientos con todos tus espectadores.

STRYPER27: podés escuchar el disco de ANIA "Days OF Rising Doom" o el de Place Vendome "Place Vendome" para escuchar a la voz CREADORA del Power Metal (KISKE, 1987) cantando melódico. Tercero: Donde están los "bajos" de Kotipelto?, se los olvidó en algún lado?, la vos del pibe no tiene mucho rango que digamos... anda en los 2.5 KHz y de ahí no se mueve me perfora el tímpano...

They both are masters of head-voice and chest-voice. But the highest notes is head-voice!:) Kiske have so much more control of his head-voice than Kotipelto :-)

I was just listening to Stratovarius Elements 2 and Kotipelto's voice is so high pitched that it actually became irritating after a while. There's high and then there's irritatingly high. Kiske's voice is not irritating to me . Maybe cuz he's not in the ultra high pitch range 90% of the time like Kotipelto. That high pitched yelping was just irritating the hell right out of me after a while. The poodle has landed.

Actually it's the exact opposite (for me). Kiske is much better live today than Kotipelto. Just compare this "Skogsröjet 2012 - Unisonic, I Want Out" with this "Stratovarius - Father Time(Despedida Jörg Michael)" ! Kotipelto has a difficult time hitting notes properly, uses falsetto very often and has a hard time singing in that speed. At least it is perfectly clear to me...

Personally I prefer Kiske by far, the rest sound like weaker copies to me. His technique, range and vocal color are phenomenal. I agree about the enunciation problems of both Kotipelto and Matos. Matos sounds very thin to me though, his lows are weak and he is not that good live anymore. Maybe I'm a little biased but none of the 2 can reach Kiske.
