Likely at first to take Son's place on the left whilst he is at the Asian cup but then depending on how well he does I see Postecoglu putting Son back in the middle and keeping Werner on the left. An lightening attack of Werner, Son and Johnson, with Maddison just behind, would frighten the life out of teams who play an high-line, offside trap game.

Spurs always had a habit in the past of signing players when they were already passed their best (Davids, Gallas, Adebayor, to name a few) but Werner feels slightly different. He's 27, so if he can rediscover the form from his first stint at RB, we'd be getting a really good player in his prime. I think this is a sign of progress at the club.

although it's not the ideal signing, he is 27 years old and happy to come and fight for his place. He offers more than some of other players and if we aren't able to sign an another attacking player and funds are tight, as we focus on a centre back and midfielder and it's on loan, I don't see much of a downside. Yes his finishing is a bit wayward, but at least he knows the premier league and isn't a player in his mid 30s who is way past it. I think he can offer us another option, at least while Son is away and doesn't have a huge fee to live up to. He'll want to prove himself and ensure he is in the German squad for the Euros.

This deal makes absolute sense for all parties and it is risk free but we still getting a player to fill in for Sonny on the left of the attack with absolute pace to burn n he is a goal threat everything what Gil ain’t n we need Johnson on the right his best position n Deki in number 10 coz he’s not dynamic enough to be on wing anymore the game slows down when he gets it on the wing most of the time he plays it back or cuts in n usually has a poor shot he becomes predictable but in centre he gets to roam n change up his game n become more influential! He's always said his natural position is a number 10 or 8, even before he signed for us. Also I'm sick of people saying "Johnson is decent on the left, trust Ange" Nope. He's shit on the left. He's only good on the right, and even then, he still has alot to improve on. But at least now I'm glad we don't have to find a backup for Madders because Kulu fits that role perfectly. They can rotate in the 10 position, and that will ensure way less injuries. Perfect. Let's hope Werner does well!
