it started when the chinese rubber manufacturer started encroaching into the spring sponge domain. Now the European / Japanese manufacturer are fighting back by releasing tacky rubber with spring sponge characteristic ( what they called the hybrid rubber ). From the moment you presented the 09C, I started using it just like you, on the forehand and backhand. I find it perfect for the backhand by the way. The durability is not to bad, but certainly not as good as the Dignics 05. I find the 09C a little too fast on short balls for my TB ALC, like you said the ball pops up, but on an all wood blade it works great!

From my standpoint, what Timo Boll mentioned is correct. Something I would like to add on is your basic techniques have to be fluid to control this rubber since you are preparing for some rallies in a Dignics 09c game. Meanwhile it would be frustrating if you play against weird styles like penhold short pips with this rubber to combat the fast and no spin ball. Sorry to say boosted Hurricane 3 is still much more dominant than Dignics 09c as the shot quality, serve and recieve are up the roof which D09c that focus on different styles cannot act as an alternative. However, it is always a good rubber to switch from tensor rubbers to aquire more control.

( I will be referring to the national blue sponge version of H3). D09c has a much higher throw than H3. H3 is much more tacky. D09c is faster while using less power. They're about equal when using maximum power. You can feel the catapult from D09c. H3 has ZERO catapult, which is what allows for counter forehands with 100% power from mid distance. At the top end and everywhere except for the mid-power shots, H3 will outspin D09c. Hitting H3 flat is not recommended. You can still hit D09c flat.

Super Video Timo. Leider.
@timoboll83813 жыл бұрын
Stimmt.
@niksyde78593 жыл бұрын

@timoboll83813 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard of the Rakza rubber, so I can't imagine it's as good as Dignics 09c. But if it's 50% off and you're happy with it, why not
Very nice and honest review. If you compare it with butterfly 05, whats the difference in speed, arc, control, spin, hardness, how much ball stays on the rubber?
@apflor3233 жыл бұрын
I tried this rubber and think it's one of the best I have ever used. Timo is right that it's not fast, but the control and spin make up for that. I think it's speed actually comes after it bounces, because the ball comes at decent pace but kicks off the table . Most of the players I play against complain about how the ball kicks and the dip once it hits the table.

Hi Timo and Team Timo ! Thanks for your technical overview. As clinical as you are I would not expect anything better for your game, it does fit you like a glove. It does look like a more "forgiving" rubber due of it's dwell time. But I have a question, what about WEIGHT ? I love TGY 05 but NOT the weight (my preference). Since this rubber seems more elastic, is it a little lighter ?! PS Good luck with your health (mainly)... cuz technically pffft.... you are as close to a robot as a human can be ! (in a good way of course)
@anthonytran87583 жыл бұрын
I've been playing with the 09c for little while now and feel as though the top sheet loses the grip quite quickly compared to the tenergy or other dignics rubbers. Not sure if anyone else has the same issues but find myself needing to replace it more frequently than my Dignics 05 that I use on my backhand side.
@dbeff2 жыл бұрын
I agree, the rubber in general last a long time but as the sponge is hard and it's very dependent on the grip any loss seems to make a big difference.

Hey Timo one short question, because I think no one asked yet: How do you clean your rubbers and especially the Dignics 09C with its sticky surface? With normal rubber cleaner sticky rubbers shouldn’t be cleaned not to destroy the surface.

I used to use the dhs sun yingsha blade and boost dhs hurricane 3 neo 40 degrees provincial version with 3 layers of booster. putting a bit extra or a bit less affects the characteristics greatly and after 2 months you would need to buy another rubber or reboost because it doesnt last long. and u need different amount of booster depending on the blade.
