This might be a very risky idea, but if you consider moving from the vault to the city you need to do this in multiple steps, which requires dividing the colony for some time. You fly in, establish a proper beachhead, set up basic defenses, make the base as advanced as possible with limited resources, and then move all the technology, building blocks, and resources you possibly can and wish.

Honestly what he can do is pre-build a ton of minifiable turrets first off map. That way all he has to do is build the power sources (arguably he could just power it all with chemfuel generators initially and build solar out gradually in the city block court yards) and the he can have a moving security perimeter that gradually moves out from the center as he claims more and of the city.

Yeah I agree, Problem is even though the vault is worth a lot of wealth Drop pods cant get into the main parts of the vault, thanks to the fact that its under a mountain the mushrooms HAVE To go through the front or take time to break down the walls. When in the city the mushrooms could just drop pod in anywhere which may or may not have defenses.

I'm a HUGE fan of how in this series, Bugs and other small animals, like Toads, are proving to be the symbolic enemies of the mushrooms. From the friendly insects appearing in infestations in ancient complexes, the insect-themed Power Armor, and now, the Locust Armor. Maybe with everyone slowly losing their minds underground in that vault, Timon becoming a cyborg psychopath, losing the ability to even love, acting more like a drone... Maybe they'll attempt to embrace the insect imagery. Both insect and mushroom grow and thrive underground, the vault dwellers picking up very powerful, insect related armor and finding their safe haven underground, and thriving there. if not, maybe timon's private army picks up on the insectoid style just a thought

Being off the home map with your expensive helicopter raises the stakes considerably: if two of the fighters were driven berserk by aggression spores at home subduing them would likely be quite a production; much giving of the old razzle dazzle; maybe some new crippling injuries; but at leas it would be an option. Outside; *poof* caravan lost; sorry about the helicopter suckers!

Somewhat curiously; luciferium has no mood effect (except indirectly by providing 0.8x pain and gradually cleaning up scars; so typically a small boost for anyone who isn't masochistic or in exemplary health). You'd think that being pumped full of exotic medical mechanites that are making you better in basically every way would be quite a rush; but apparently not. Now, if Timon wants to start hitting the go-juice out of a combination of psychopathic sensation and risk seeking and a hatred of the weakness of the flesh; I could definitely go for that.

Locust armour sounds like a great idea. Timmons needs a jetpack for his beetle armour. Other option is Phoenix armour and just light everything on fire all the time with the built in incendiary launcher and then give them all jetpacks.

Awesome episode!!! I love that the helicopter can basically carry their entire life with them. So amazing. I think a few trips into the biosculpture would be worth getting rid of scars and bringing down pain levels to low if not gone. That way moods stay higher and their parts will work at great efficiency and you won’t have to worry about them not being able to escape from enemies and such. And the locust armor is a clutch plan. Good defense and the ability to yoink them away from the enemy.

I really want to see Will and Mariana return to their original city - it’s most likely where they came from and I’d imagine they’re very sentimental for it. The city next to the ship you could go to at any point now you have the cargo heli, and I think it’d just be a much more interesting story to return to the city which was such a great source of stories than to go to another random one just because it’s close to a site that you can get to easily anyways.

The other series all have these super soldiers who can tank anything, and kill hundreds of people. This series has two guys with their backs to a helicopter, fighting an unknown amount of undying mushrooms flooding in from the dark. It's wild how minimalist this is, and in turn, how much tension there is at every moment.

You can solve the recruiting problem by using the thing that changes the fungoids to baseliners, but it would take longer but in term make them recruitable, curing them doesn't just mean neutralizing the aggression spores

They would never even acknowledge, that they would all be mushrooms by now if not for you, oh no, they won't... Oh and god help you, if while shacking through pain and half conscious, you botch one in a dozen of extremely difficult operations. Can you throw mushrooms into gene extractor to get this gene. Then appoint a volunteer to be injected with that Gene so they can do the conversion... Also maybe consolidating your Ideology and using a ritual can bypass the uncontrollable vomit during conversions.

You should be able to use the Nullifier on captured pawns as a hostile action. If the base-game lets you rip the genetic code from a downed Sanguophage, you should be able to stick a downed and/or captured pawn with a sci-fi device that makes people who used to be baseline humans back into baseline humans. The only excuses I'd accept for that not being possible are that either the mod author forgot or that it'd take effort to actually get that to work. I'm not even asking for it to take monumental effort, just enough that nobody feels like doing it.
